First time here, and I was very pleased. It is bright, clean, and well-maintained. The complimentary breakfast far better than one would expect at this price point. Even the coffee was noticeably good quality. The staff, top to bottom, were wonderful. Everything about the hotel made it clear that the owners/managers take pride in their hotel, and take the extra step to make it special. One small example: Someone spent a good deal of time and effort decorating the lobby for Halloween. This is now my go-to hotel for Iowa State football weekends.

Checked in very late after a long day of driving. Got the room key, unloaded the kids and dog at 1:30am to find our key cards don't work. Go back down to desk - to find out the key reader of that room doesn't work and the room shouldn't have been rented. Now, I have 2 kids and a dog all standing in the hallway waiting for another room. The AC unit made a very loud noise all night, making sleeping nearly impossible. The hotel itself was fine, and I hope this was an outlier experience, but left frustrated and exhausted.
