Nice place, poor communication
The property was clean, roomy, and well-maintained. Everything was jn working order. My main problem was with the poor communication. First, i usually get a confirmation email right after I book something on VRBO. But I didn't get any confirmation email at all. I got a brief reply only after I inquired a few days before my booking, stating that I would get info on the first day. Then when I had a question as to where the dumpster was located (since I was instructed to empty trash into the dumpster at checkout), I got no response to my VRBO message nor email. I finally called the number for the property manager, who turned out not to be able answer my question. She took my number and said someone would call me. No one ever did. I was able to ask a neighbor who told me it was at the top of our very steep hill.
My other concern is that the property was located in a steep area so that after the snowstorm, it would've been difficult to get back down without chains (which we fortunately had brought with us). But it would've been helpful to know about this risk in advance. (This is of course not a concern during non-winter months.)
