Convenient N. Carson City location. Friendly staff. Better than average breakfast bar with very good coffee. Exercise room looked nice and clean. We were surprised by the clean tap water (must be filtered, we know Carson City water isn't usually great.) Only thing we didn't like were the tiny in-room coffee brewers, so we didn't get that first cup til breakfast.

The room was very well put together, different than most. The pool area was under maintenance at the time, that was a bumner, but since the weather was so nice it didn't really matter. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

Worst night at any hotel in past 15 years!

Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Replace heating with unit that maintains room at desired temperature without huge temperature swings. Replace bedding with sheet, blanket, bedspread
Location: Location is convenient.
It was cold outside ~38 degrees. Room heater would eventually warm the room, but then the heat shuts off but the fan keeps going blasting cold air throughout the room. In desperation had to crank up thermostat all it would go - warm room then quickly shut off entire heater to prevent the freezing cold air. Of course with the heater off, the room would cool down in 20 minutes and the cycle had to be repeated. The bed did not have a top sheet, blanket and bedspread. Instead it had a heavy "all in one" comforter-like thing. Thus you had only two choices - covered and be way too hot, sweating and uncomfortable OR uncovered and be cold and uncomfortable. Spent a horrible night, got very little sleep. Breakfast was mediocre. I make better waffles - these had the flavor or sawdust/cardboard. Orange juice was very watery - didn't taste at all like oranges. Coffee was ok. AVOID THIS HOTEL! It is a very poor value due to total lack of a comfortable night's sleep.

Horrible Bed

I've stayed at many Hampton Inns and one thing that I've always liked was their beds. This Hampton Inn for some reason doesn't have the same bed. The bed was horrible. Other than that the staff was great, breakfast was good and everything was clean.

Rude manager

There are alternatives in Carson City; I would not stay here again. The company for whom I came to Carson guaranteed my reservation with their credit card. When I arrived, I was required to use my own credit card to check in. Later, the client who was paying my expenses asked to have the charges placed back on the company card. The manager was very rude and made the process needlessly difficult, at first refusing the request altogether. Find another place to stay.
