Good hotel next to the wharf

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
It was a good night's stay. A bit far from London but doable. The tube is just a 3 minute walk away. The hotel cab ride was decent for the price paid also and wouldn't mind using them if needed. The room is excellent but a bit surprised at the "double" bed, glad we had "third" person or we wouldn't have gotten the sofa bed for separate sleeping areas. (Third didn't come). The food isn't bad either, great staff. Wouldn't mind using it again if I wanted to see a concert or attending conference as the centers are right there.

Terrible location, decent hotel

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Nothing close
We stayed two nights at the Ramada Docklands. I wouldn't recommend it, based on the remoteness of the location. It took us 45 minutes to get into downtown London, and then 2 hours to get to Heathrow when we were leaving. We were travelling with a small child, who barely could handle this. It was a nice enough hotel, just I barely think it was even London. Also, I think that other customers were given a free breakfast with their stay, but we weren't. I am not sure why, but that made the value of staying here go waaaaay down.

truckers hotel in the uk

I can not believe this hotel is rated so high. Every surface in the hotel is tired and worn, starting with the reception area carpet. The staff was very nice for the most part, with the exception of a few. One front desk person, when having been told that my telephone didn't word said " you just don't know how to use it" Really? Hahha My bed had two one inch think planks of plywood under it. I enquired why and they said the last person there has a bad back. I took them out and the mattress sank four inches in the middle. ABC manager was great and showed me other rooms, sadly mine was the best. They told me the hotel was only seven years old. Wow, this poor girl was abused... I must admit, while worn it was clean.. But honestly, in the US I. See ramada and I expect a decent room, not a welfare hotel or truck stop.

Ok distance to DLR; Hardest beds & pillows ever!

The hotel is out of the way but it is only a few mintutes walk to the Docklands Light Rail and you can get to the Tower Gateway & Underground within 20 minutes using the DLR. At first, we were disappointed at the location. However, we left the hotel early in the AM and spent the entire day in London..including if all you need is a place to stay then this hotel is not that bad considering the price. Our biggest complaint was hard mattresses and pillows which made it difficult for us to get a good night sleep. Final recommendation, if you are flying out of Heathrow...get a room near Heathrow the night before your flight as it will take you over two hours to get from this Ramada to the airport.

Ok Hotel...Terrible Location

My husband and I assumed that since it was a Ramada, it would be a great place to stay. The staff was somewhat helpful. The rooms are very small, but clean. The beds were not as hard as other European hotels, but I could feel the mattress springs and it was noisy. Breakfast is not included and there are no places nearby to eat at. The really bad part is that it takes about an hour to get into downtown London, so a lot of time is waisted trying to get into London. It also a five minute walk from the hotel to the actual train station, so if it is raining it is not a fun walk. It is also a long trip to get to Gatwick airport. We ended up paying over $100 for a cab ride because there is not shuttle to take you to or from the airport. I think if you are there just for business, it would be a great place, but for vacationers, it is not a good choice. I would have rathered paid more to stay closer to downtown.

Great Hotel

Very clean! The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only downside is the location but it is a short metro ride to major attractions. We would stay here again, it was that nice and since away from city very quiet at night. Highly recommend!!
