The Aerodrome is old and the bathrooms are a pain in the ass to shower in. You either burn yourself while showering or there's no hot water. The controls for the shower are completely separate from the controls for the tub.

My third Christmas in Croydon

Pros: Dedicated staff. Location.
Cons: The facility at some time will need some modernization but is doing fine right now.
Location: Probably a little out of the way for general tourism. I chose it because relatives live close by.
This was my third year spending Christmas with relatives in Croydon. The Hallmark Croydon Aerodrome hotel is a comfortable place to stay. Hotel critics may find things to bicker about. The staff was wonderful. Throughout the entire holidays the same people were there ever so ready to help. I will return!

A good place to rest your head

Pros: Lovely commons area and rooms were kept clean.
Cons: Staff overall was kind, but slow and not a very seasoned staff.
Location: There are some eateries and shop very close, like right across the road. Bus stop right down the sidewalk to take you to the nearest station.
This hotel is very nice on the outside and in the common areas. The room I had was VERY small. The bathroom was very large. I was pretty much gone the entire day, so I didn't do much more than sleep and clean up in the room. The room was kept very clean. Housekeeping does come around pretty early though. When I stayed, most of the staff was very new and slow. There were a few diamonds in the rough for employees though. The night assistant manager is a lovely woman. Overall, the staff seemed like they cared about me and my stay. It was a ways out of central London, taking about 30 to 45 min. to get in and out by rail and bus. But there was a very close bus stop that took me right to the nearest station with a quick trip. Overall, I would stay here again, no question.
