Loved the rooftop bar, brilliant apartment. Gorgeous views - was unfortunate that the swimming pool / jacuzzi was unavailable during my stay as that was one of the main reasons for booking there. Also one of the cleaners came into my room whilst I was still sleeping - they apologised but was still a shock

I had difficulty finding the hotel but that was just timing....they were in the middle of re-branding to "Ark" so I didn't recognise the name above the door. Having completed online check-in, the process of collecting the key card was quick & simple & the receptionist was friendly & welcoming. The overall condition of the communal areas appeared pristine. There were building works going on with some facilities but the hotel was very good at communicating about these & advising on alternative provision secured nearby. No noise or mess was evident in the hotel from these works. The lifts are unusual but work well. Instead of just calling a lift & then selecting your floor in the lift, you select the floor on one of the displays for the 4 lifts in the lobby area & the display tells you which lift will take you to your floor. Neat & efficient idea. Rooms are a little different to what you might expect. They include a kitchenette, comprised of a sink, oven, refrigerator and plentiful storage. So it's more like a small flat / apartment. The bathroom was cramped with a tiny sink basin. The shower worked OK but the door runners were broken so it entailed a bit of clever manoeuvring to open & close it. There was a faint smell of drains in the bathroom which was unpleasant though not overpowering. Despite this, everything appeared to be very clean. The bed was OK but the mattress was softer than I like. The room lacked fresh air & was very warm. Overall, good for the price.

The experience wasn't what I expected, being a 4-star hotel I expected that I was in an actual hotel and not a student accommodation. We're in Januar, the rooms shouldn't be this cold and at least access to control where I can adjust the climate settings. I was there for an anniversary and when I saw the room I was very disappointed with the size compared to the photos. To place the cherry on top I selected the option where I would pay extra at the hotel, I had a call from one of the employees confirming my stay a couple of days before and confirming that I would pay with a different card than what I placed online, however, I had another dude calling me on the booking day saying that they have been trying to charge my card from the previous day and it's not going through, and they mentioned that it's policy but that's not what it was mentioned online when I booked.

Love lobe lobe this place will book it again. You can live here upto a yr if needed. Such an amazing experience . Parking spaces Available for 12 gbp a day but soooo worth it. OThe bathroom sink is very small and the elevator can take a while..
