Pool area was not secure from outsiders, including large lizards. Front desk staff were not friendly - at all! They were visibly irritated with all guests asking questions and just trying to understand where things were on the property and nearby. The "mall" that is attached is very limited with many store fronts empty or odd. Prices were extremely high for food in the grab and go area with staff that again did not seem happy that I was a customer. I'm extremely easy going, knowing they have a hard job, and a smile and "good morning" greeting goes a long way with me! I received none of that during the three nights I was a guest. I will not stay at a Hilton again. I will be back to Marriott next time - I thought this would be an upgrade, but it was a disappointing experience to say the least.

I saw breakfast included when I made reservations and now they saying it’s not. This might be a Travelocity problem. Checkout says noon and I just called to ask for late check out and they said they can do 1140am. What the hell?!

Where do I begin- Hilda checking us in was great- the rest of the staff- horrible. We called up for a microwave and plates at 5:50pm - the girl who answered acted like we kicked a puppy by asking, as if we caused her personal pain. Then she called back to tell us we could not get plates because room service was not running ( at dinner time). She said we could go to the lobby restaurant and get plates. We went down and the restaurant said they can’t give out plates it’s not allowed……. We then asked for Togo boxes we could at least microwave them in, we got those. after 1 hour we called down asking about the microwave, she again sounded annoyed and said she didn’t know, after another 45 minutes we called again; she seemed surprised they had not brought us one and then “ called again”, then after 2.5 hours we called and asked if there was any microwave downstairs we could use as our kids were hungry and we needed to heat their food. They said yes it was in the bar area and we could use that ( would have been nice to be offered from the start or at least after the first hour). I had to go down with food and Togo boxes and microwave food in the middle of the bar area whilst the onlookers watched me make up plates and food. The microwave never showed, I finally called to cancel it and she let me know they could not find a single working microwave in the entire hotel…. The staff was not pleasant, the manager never called to apologize and Double tree customer service was atrocious.

Check in process was a failure. Understaffed for the number of people waiting. Front desk didn’t seem very welcoming however Hilda was the most experienced and tried to manage the other two. She was okay.
