I recently stayed for 3 nights in room 244. I have been coming to this location for years and service has gone downhill. When checking in I requested a certain room to find it unavailable. I advised I experienced clogged drains in the past. I was advised “hopefully” not in the room assigned. How is that for hospitality. First thing I noticed the bathtub drain stopper removed. Hair was clogged in the drain which I had to remove with a knife as it had been there for awhile. Shower curtain had hair on it. I had to Lysol and hand wash to remove dirt from kitchen and bath cabinets. Missing utensils. 1 bar of soap for entire stay! Phone jack broken so couldn’t call front desk. Had to walk there every time to get something else.

The place to stay in Naples

I've been to Naples on vacation 3 times. Twice I've stayed at Residence Inn. I love this place. No the breakfast isn't gourmet but it's much better than all the other places I've stayed. It's nice and clean and the staff are friendly and more than helpful. I will stay here everytime I come to Naples. I also look for Residence Inn when I travel anywhere else.

A good choice for very short people who are hearing impaired and who know how to high jump--otherwise, try something else

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy, very small bed, poorly designed parking arrangements
I've traveled extensively in the U.S. (from Bar Harbor, Maine to Key West, Florida and from San Diego, California through Seattle, Washington) as well as across Canada from Montreal through Vancouver. And this is the third Residence Inn I've stayed at in the past month. But this hotel has two fatal flaws. The room we have (we haven't checked out yet) is quite small by Residence Inn standards (if there are Residence Inn standards since they seem to vary so much), but its sleeping area is far smaller than any we've ever stayed in over the past decade or so. The bed itself is the smallest I remember ever seeing in any hotel. I might also point out that it is also fairly high--so not easy to get into if you are relatively short (my wife is 5 feet, two inches tall and had a harder time than someone ought to). The air conditioning system was exceptionally poorly designed. It's in a locked closet in a corner at the foot of the bed (inches away from the foot of the bed) and it's terribly noisy. It has two tones--one a deep one very much like the drones you hear on television when a program shows a wing of U.S. bombers over Europe in World War II and the other sound is higher pitched--something like the sound film projectors used to make. The bed was so small that my wife and I couldn't coexist in it and the noise was so great I couldn't sleep in it (my wife could, though, probably because she is somewhat hearing impaired). As a result, I had to do something I've never done in my traveling life--leaving the bedroom and opening up the sleeper couch, finding the linens and blanket, and making the sleeper bed and trying to sleep in the livingroom/kitchen area. But there's also another concern about the hotel, not a fatal flaw (like the two above), but a real mistake. The building I am seems to have 20 units on each of three floors, but it has only one elevator for people to reach the second or third floors. Yet there's totally inadequate parking near the door on the first floor that leads to the elevator. Moreover, the hotel permits guests who are contractors and who are hauling trailers behind their pickups to park across three spaces near that door. In addition, the non-handicapped space closest to that door is partially under the leaves of a very lovely tree, but that impedes getting in and out of a car. The space isn't useless, but it's compromised. The moral: if you are so unfortunate as to stay here, insist on being on the first floor! There also seems to be a shortage of luggage carts. This Residence Inn also seems to offer less than most in terms of "social hours/diner," although the chain has been cutting back on them over the years. We arrived on a Thursday and there's nothing. We haven't gone to breakfast yet, but typically they are disappointing in the U.S. (there's an excellent one at a Residence Inn in Toronto). But even if it, surprisingly, were outstanding, the problems with the noisy air conditioner (and its location) and the tiny bed would clearly outweigh anything else. And did I mention that that sofa bed doesn't seem to want to close?

Great room for the money.Very comfortable and convenient.

We just wanted a quick get-away and were very pleased with how affordable the rate was. The room was very nice and location was convenient to everything Naples has to offer. Only a few miles to downtown shops, etc. Had a very relaxing visit and would go back in a heart beat.
