This hotel is listed in the San Antonio search for Travelocity and its way out there the front desk personnel was rude and has no customer service skills

On our website, our hotel is listed as Best Western Plus Lytle Inn & Suites. You booked your room on the Travelocity website, you have to call them directly for all changes and they have control of what properties are shown on their website not us. Our customer service training is very thorough; our team members are focused on delivering excellent service and the lack of it is not common practice here. We wish you happy travels.

The staff that operates this Best Western are theives and liars. I’m a single mom, took my sons of our very first family roadtrip ever and stayed in this hotel. It was the first hotel my 5 year old ever has ever stayed in and he was ecstatic, we all were! It took forever to scrounge enough funds to take my kids to Natural Bridge. The manager claims I smoked in the room, thus he single-handedly maxed my whole card with fees. He claims to have called to inform me of these charges but my phone statement says otherwise. The charges were placed on my card before I even checked out of the room. I never received a notification, explanation, nothing. I didn’t even find out until 26 days later, when the statement came in. These people are con artists, placing fraudulent charges on unsuspecting occupants. I am appalled and disgusted.

We are very cognizant of our services and we conduct our business honestly and with Integrity. You were informed at check in of our 'Non-Smoking Policy' and the $300 fee associated to it, which you acknowledged with your signature. Housekeeping makes up each room each day, if they smell smoke in any room, they make a note of the room number and report it to management, who then inspects the room to confirm. After you checked out, it was confirmed your room reeked of smoke (please feel free to call us so I tell you know what the vile substance was). Your card was charged the cleaning fee. It covers the cost of taking the room out of inventory; cleaning the furniture, replacing all the linens and towels, shampooing carpet and furniture upholstery, basically a top to bottom scrub down, which also resulted in a loss of room revenue for three days while the room was being deodorized. We called the phone number you had on your registration folio to inform you of the charges. The smoking charge will stand as this is in accordance with Company Non-Smoking Policy.

Receptionist was Rude

The hotel itself is alright, nothing fancy or high-end. The receptionist was rude while explaining an upcharge my reservation needed.

Pros: Continental Breakfast
Cons: Price of stay, more luggage carts, and have air conditioner running when guest arrive
The hotel is overpriced for the type of room you are getting. The hotel has 3 floors of rooms and only 1 luggage cart. The rooms are not very well insulated so if there are kids staying close to your room you will know it. When we arrived the outside temperature was 96 degrees and the air conditioning in the room was not turned down low enough to make the room comfortable when we got in it. It took about 2 hours for the room to cool down to the point we were not sweating. The room itself was clean and except for the bathroom was fairly updated. The Continental Breakfast was quite a bit better than most I have been to. If the room had been reasonably priced I would not have been bothered by the short comings listed above.

Very quiet area, isolated!

I'm the kind of person who likes quiet, isolated places and this was just that! It was very nice and clean. The rooms were very comfortable. I could have used more pillows but that would be me getting needy. The pool and spa area was very nice! Me and my newly wed wife enjoyed the jets pulsing on our feet and backs as well as a large pool to enjoy! I think it's a great place for a couples weekend or for the entire family! My only complaint was there wasn't a $100 bill sitting on my pillow when we entered the room. But this isn't the Hilton! Overall a great experience!
