My husband and I checked in around 8pm and was given room #171. We left to meet family for dinner since we lived out of town. When we returned we went to our room. As soon as we opened the door, we were met with a horrible smell of weed. We also noticed one of the sprinklers was wrapped with plastic as though someone was trying not to set it off. The bed sheets were dirty and stained. My husband called the front desk and reported the problem. The girl working there gave us another room on the other side. We took out luggages and proceeded to go to our new room #217. When we got to the door the key didn't work. We brought everything back to the car and went to the front desk. She activated the key. We took our luggages and proceeded upstairs a 2nd time to our new room.The key still wasn't working again. My husband drove us back to the front desk and asked for a refund since we cant get into our room. We were told to come back in the morning to speak to a manager. We ended up calling around and checked into the Holiday Inn that was 10 miles away. This area is sketchy and definitely didn't feel safe especially if you are out coming in from out of town. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're looking for trouble. We returned to the location for a refund the following morning as instructed by the front desk the night before. Now, we're being told we stayed the night there even though our key didn't work. I will never return to this Days Inn.
