Pala was nice but it was unnerving to have to pay extra resort fees when a) there’s a law stating resort fees are unfair business practice in CA and b) there was no resort….the pool and amenities were closed.

My girlfriend and I loved our stay here during Valentine’s Day weekend. The hotel was very clean with a beautiful view of the mountains. If you’re looking to be in a more rural area this is the place and very peaceful. Not that close to a night life area such as bars, stores or restaurants but inside the hotel they offer really good choices of places to eat and drink just depends on what you’re looking for. Overall a wonderful experience and will look forward to coming back.
