As a wheelchair user we were unable to access the hotel through the front. Although there was disabled access ramp it wasn’t working and after 10 minutes of standing around outside we were then escorted to the back of the hotel and shown in via a very small tradesman ramp. This was unacceptable. As a gesture of goodwill our room was changed but we were at the back of the hotel. This was as far away from the lift as possible. The room window did not close properly. As a result it was exceptionally noisy all night so we had a poor sleep. In the morning we went to the restaurant for breakfast. The lift took us to the correct floor, but the restaurant was in 2 levels and the food was only accessible by steps - again this was unacceptable. Overall I would summarise as an uncomfortable stay with terrible access for wheelchair users. The staff were pleasant but there seemed to be nothing they could do to improve our experience.
