As a wheelchair user we were unable to access the hotel through the front. Although there was disabled access ramp it wasn’t working and after 10 minutes of standing around outside we were then escorted to the back of the hotel and shown in via a very small tradesman ramp. This was unacceptable. As a gesture of goodwill our room was changed but we were at the back of the hotel. This was as far away from the lift as possible. The room window did not close properly. As a result it was exceptionally noisy all night so we had a poor sleep. In the morning we went to the restaurant for breakfast. The lift took us to the correct floor, but the restaurant was in 2 levels and the food was only accessible by steps - again this was unacceptable. Overall I would summarise as an uncomfortable stay with terrible access for wheelchair users. The staff were pleasant but there seemed to be nothing they could do to improve our experience.

You need ID for every traveller staying including children (thank goodness I had their birth certs on my phone) very noisy hotel, walls are very thin. Staff are lovely, breakfast was great the next morning (Buffett style) we stayed in a family room so one big double bed and 2 single unfortunately children struggled to sleep because of noise. Perfect location in the city centre

Britainnia are just the worst
Found bugs in the room Paid extra for window.....never got the window No air conditioning and got a broken dusty fan Bed so uncomfortable no sleep Bathroom door didn't close properly. For an extra 50 i could have stayed in a better hotel! This hotel is a mess and not the first time I have had an issue with Britannia!
