Although many things were a bit disappointing, the bottom line is I would stay there again if I needed to be in The Woodlands overnight.
COVID precautions were in place. And though I am fully vaccinated, I appreciate their caution. However, using the pandemic as an excuse for denying access to the pool seems unreasonable to me. I Googled about pool restrictions and found nothing to indicate it was necessary.
There were other minor inconveniences, like muddy areas, trash put out by guests, a broken ice machine leaving access to ice on the opposite side of the motel, and a really low number of electrical outlets.
But like I said, it was a clean, comfortable room and worth what I paid. RE: what I paid. On the VRBO site, the price for the room was $50. When I went to pay, it suddenly became $64. It's not the right way to do business, but the price is still fair for the location.
