Super cute, historic hotel located in a nice little town. Clean rooms, nice wine and beer selection in the small eatery. Great place to stay and visit Yosemite. Would like to explore the area more next time!

Groveland Hotel 3 day stay

This hotel was one of the worst I have ever stayed in. After paying extra for a room with a view, the windows in our room were covers with plastic and black spray paint, it was like being in a cave. The entire hotel common areas were under construction, so no amenities. No staff ever checked on us at any point during our 3 day stay. When checking out there was a sign to leave the keys in a box, and no one would be manning the desk until two in the afternoon. Cleaning lady knocked on our door at 8 am. The complimentary breakfast was at a hotel down the block. If they had any staff we would have complained but did not have 3 hours to wait for staff. A surreal experience with no customer service.

Hello there, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are sorry your experience was less than you expected. We are in the final stages of a complete renovation. During this time we have offered our guests deep discounts. When you checked in we should have clarified with you that we are the Inns of Groveland and the hotel down the block is our sister property, the Hotel Charlotte. There is staff there to assist in all your needs when there is no one at the front desk of the Groveland Hotel. The phone in your room connects directly to staff that can assist you. We were not expecting the windows to be covered either. When undertaking a project of this scope there are bound to be unforeseen obstacles. Had we known you were unhappy we would have worked with you. There was staff available at the front desk between 2-9pm. Again, p;lease accept our apologies.

Quaint, one of a kind

Considering it dates to 1850, It's different than your modern place. Great location, superb staff and an experience I'd repeat again!!
