This property was riddled with drug deals going on all night. Someone was stomping around all night above us. Motorcycle coming and going all night. When I spoke to the owner/receptionist about it in there stinky office. They were rude and unconcerned.

Sorry for inconvenience there is nothing like drug dealing or anything going on just like you stay another people also stay and they have their motor cycle if you do not like why you stay you should stay in your place. Do not judge other people and business if you do n't know anyhting.

Early check in costed almost $60, pillow sheets were filthy and old and doesn’t even have a blanket.? Walls is dirty and ac was leaking and doesn’t work. Terrible place and very over priced. No ocean view so that’s false advertisement also

Sorry for inconvenience if you want view than you have to book that type of room you have to spend every thing does not work automatic before you book our early check in fee display you have to make better decision .Entire stay no complain.

Please do yourself a favor and book another place to stay! This motel is disgusting. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. There is no ocean view! There Is no customer service what so ever. Not even a smile upon checking in. Do not think of checking in early, there is a sixty dollar charge. The rooms are extremely out dated and dirty. The beds are hard and disgusting. The first thing we did was run to the CVS down the street and purchase blankets and candles to get rid of the smell. This motel is extremely loud! If you have trouble sleeping you will not sleep at all. We stayed during a weekend and Saturday night was awful. It seemed like there were people actually living at this motel full time. Saturday night everyone was out yelling and being disorderly all night long. I had to leave my teenage daughter while I ran to CVS. She called me to tell me there was extremely shady stuff going on outside the door. All which she did record. This place does not have any good reviews for a reason! Travelocity should not be offering this property! They do take two hundred dollar deposit as well when you check in!!! Stay anywhere but here!

sorry for convenience this customer bring pets we do not allow at all and she do not have deposit to pay while we tell we don rent without deposit and we d not allow pets she said i did not see online try to excuse she violeted our hotel polices we cannot rent to her so she did not like so she put bad reviews online.

The only thing I liked about this property was that it was in about the location we wanted to be. The pictures online displayed a small walk to the ocean and the sand. It showed an ocean view from a hotel room, that either didn’t belong to this hotel or was severely outdated. It wasn’t at all what we wanted. Very small room, and wish we would have paid a little extra for a different hotel. The front desk lady was rude and was more involved with her personal phone conversation that checking me in. Not happy at all. Shouldn’t falsely advertise your location as Beach front with a picture that even depicts that fantasy, but doesn’t actually have it. Very unhappy with our stay!

Oceanview Motel......notel!

Pros: Can't think of a thing except close to Huntington Beach.
Cons: The room was severely overpriced.The room...furniture...decor needs an update/renovation badly. Only one bath towel! Really? Motel 6 a better value.
Location: The beach.....why I was there.
Checking in was a negative. Lady at the counter was not very friendly or cordial...just shy of rude! I arrived early(2:30) so I could get a room away form the elevator or stairs as I'm a light sleeper and hear everything. Of course she put me almost directly across from the elevator and would not look for another room saying there was no more rooms similar. She didn't try looking for another room and said it was a quiet room, end of conversation. The whole conversation was not what I would say was customer service orientated. Big negative here. Cannot recommend this place to anyone!

A Pleasant Surprise!

Pros: CLEAN. NO SMELLS (I'm very sensitive). VERY CLOSE to the Beach. GREAT STAFF.
Cons: Update the rooms.
Location: EXCELLENT access to beach, tons to do. The Bolsa Chica Wildlife Reserve was very interesting and made fro great Photo Ops!
I was nervous that this hotel would not be clean or in a bad area because it was such a good deal. We were SO happy to find a clean hotel, with lovely staff (Rose was a smiling wonder!), and very close to the beach. It is older with the very basic creature comforts (I had to ask for the hair dryer, but they had it, thank goodness!) We had a blast with our kids and fell in love with Huntington Beach all over again as I grew up there.

Hotel with little view of the beach

Pros: Location
Cons: Hotel staff manners.
Location: Located on Pacific Coast Highway with the beach across the street behind the houses. Sunset Beach has many fine restaurants and places to visit.
The room was clean and we could hear little noise from Pacific Coast Highway that was acceptable. What was not acceptable was finding old extra linen in the bedding and the official it is time to leave being yelled through the door at us. Before it was actually time for us to vacate. We would possibly use the hotel again just because of the price.

sorry for inconvience the reason we tell to guest we are stickly in checkinn time and checkout time any early or late check out fines start guest can see online if hotel gone charge guest not gone like it so we always try to tell 10 minutes before because once you tell no body check out at 11:00am they usually take 15 to 20 minutes so ahead you tell they knows it and they have time to and if they don't fools rules they get late check out charge also. ;00

Best value on the beach Period......!!!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, fresh ocean breeze and view
The Ocean View Motel is just perfect....These other reviews are inaccurate...Third floor has Ocean Views from every room...Every room ive ever stayed in here when you enter smells Fresh and clean..Keep in mind this is an open air motel so the rooms are aired out daily with Pacific Ocean breeze...All other hotels near here are moldy and smell like an old LavS Vegas Casino carpet....Ausome free Wi-Fi...Mini fridge and Microwave/coffe makeer in room...Full timer Warner cable with HBO and 80 channels..I always feel safe and comfy at the Ocean View....You will NOT find a motel on the beach in the OC for anywhere near the price and value of the Ocean View,,...Highly Reccomend.....!!
