The room was great for the value. I will definitely look to staying here next time I am looking for a hotel in Kansas City. Also, the completely contactless process of check-in, room key and check out was great.

When I booked through Travelocity, the website said there was a shuttle to the airport. I was informed at check-in that I couldn’t get that service if I booked through a third party. Had I known that, I would have found a different hotel. At $5/day that Embassy is charging, it’s a no-brainer to offer that service to everyone. Very disappointed and won’t book here again.

Hotel is OK. Airport shuttle issues...was not explained by the hotel that the shuttle was a Marriott shuttle I should be looking for (shuttle being shared apparently). Even with that, the shuttle driver should have been looking for me (other customers) at the pickup location(s) - maybe stop and ask if people are going to Homewood? Finally get shuttle, and the driver is clearly irritated. No greeting, aggressive driving, just overall unpleasant. Really set a bad tone for the stay.

Under renovation

The staff was excellent. We live Homewood Suites but this was the worst one we’ve stayed at—but that being said, don’t let that deter you from staying here. It was super clean and quiet...but it was a dated one....but they are in the process of renovating so I am assuming the beds will be nicer (more firm), the breakfast will be better (This is a full breakfast but it was more limited and not filled on a regular basis. They ran out of food, but there wasn’t an employee monitoring it. They eventually came in the room; just not the service I’m used to from a Homewood Suites,) and it won’t feel so cramped because there will eventually be an area where a group of you can sit and hang out.

Beautiful hotel

Pros: The cleanliness, comfort, & quiet was great.
This hotel was very nice. Only stayed 1 night on a road trip, but I will definitely use Homewood Suites in the future. The suite was great, with a full kitchen & great sitting area. Closed off bedroom & large bathroom. Very pleased.
