"The lobby is impressive when you first walk in and it smells very high end. This historic building is beautiful and I was glad to see it is kept in pretty good condition. The rooms are designed in a very 'restoration hardware' grey color style and the bathrooms are nice, bright & roomy for a historic building. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were a bit lumpy. The hotel staff were not outwardly friendly but did their jobs. The hallways are very dark but it guess it goes with the whole design theme of the rooms. The rooms were clean but for my own preferences, i would have liked it cleaned with a bit more attention [the velour sitting bench had crumbs between the stitches, the tile around bathroom sink cabinet feet could have been wiped down, etc.]. Since we were also there for a sports tournament, not having a refrigerator and microwave in the room was not ideal . But if you are a business traveler that wants to stay at a very nice hotel and will be on your own - this is the hotel for you. "
