Great access,views, amenities and service. We were there for the Ironman competition also an awesome view from the bike section of the race. 10 minute walk to town

Nice Hotel

Pros: It felt like a log cabin.
Cons: There were no dressers to put clothes away, just closets and a shelf on the night stand.
Location: Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain, Ausible Chasm, and lots of hiking.
We stayed in cabin 8 which is very roomy. It has two bedrooms with a pull out couch in the living room and a kitchen. It is a nice quite location looking out at the mountains but very close to town. It has a fire pit outside to sit around in the evening. We also had adirondack chairs on our porch. Staff called me on my way there to confirm the time I was coming. We had a welcome of cookies and water bottles when we arrived.
