A decent hotel. We got the 2 room suite as a last minute thing. Travelocity messed up on the family size, however the guy behind the desk told us not to worry. Good location, not too far away from the casinos. Had a fridge and microwave. The room was clean, and everything worked. When we opened the sofa sleeper, there was old popcorn and trash behind it. Probably could use a deep cleaning. Will definitely come back.

Cozy

Cozy and nice good experience unexpectedly came with a room for the kids and and me and my husband stayed in the living room part

Nice room

Pros: Everything was updated in the room.
Cons: Flooring under carpet was soft in spots. We could hear the guest in the next room coughing all night.
Location: Some nice golf courses in the area.
We were traveling since July 20. This was a spot we picked to stay a few days. Beautiful lake and area. Golfed at the Lake Tahoe Golf Club. Enjoyed our stay.

Stay without.

Pros: Bed..
Cons: Put Window air conditioning..fix pool.fix walk ways dont
Location: Lake
Over priced.pool out of service.hot tub out of service.no air conditioning only table fan.charged$222 regular price 40$ rooms to close thin walls not enough parking .was not happy check in 3 pm had to drive around to wait to check in.bummer no rest.

Single man's best value in Bijou

Pros: attracted to price point, was warm and cozy, had a view of the Sierras, the location was optimum, the owner was a reasonable, likeable man.
Cons: The owner will be upgrading the property and is working on it always, He seems to be aware and on top of any issues.
Location: Convienient location makes this an ideal base camp for all Tahoe, Carson City, Minden, Gardenerville, Reno etc.
I had an extended stay there, I'm convinced it was the best value for my needs (a single man) because the location was central to Lake Tahoe's worthwhile destinations. The Best breakfast at Tahoe for over half a century (Heidi's) is practically just across the street, and next to that is CVS. The Motel is literally next door to a great brewery/pizza place, and walking distance is a fine Italian restaurant, (Tep's) Safeway, and Safeway Gas station are only a block away. The room had a microwave oven, a mini-fridge, a hair dryer, plenty of storage space and a clean bathroom. I slept well in the queen bed that had 3 pillows, and the WiFi worked perfectly. The owner of the motel was very nice to me, and seemed like a real friend.

Nice clean good size room

Pros: Clean and roomy. Had small fridge and microwave. Shower head had messager.
Cons: Shower head height
Location: Nearby brewery and Safeway. Close to ski resort
Room was roomy and clean. Bathroom shower could have been higher. Close to Heavenly Valley.

Not worth half of what they charged

Pros: Lots of TV stations, a small fridge and a microwave.
Cons: Everything. Stayed in much nicer rooms for half as much. For the three star price you'd think they could at least throw you a muffin in the morning
Location: It's Lake Tahoe.
Went to Tahoe for a wedding and this place seemed to have decent ratings and it was convenient to the venue. Turns out it's old and run down but it looks like they have made a few futile attempts to update it. Typical low end motel furnishings. Cigarette burns in the bead spread. Shower caulking was moldy. They made a big deal out of the do-it-your-self coffee pot in the tiny lobby. The only thing the tiny room air conditioner (really just a fan in a box) did was make noise. No way to circulate any air. Not only was the "pool" (which is really just an over-sized hot tub smack in the middle of the parking lot) pathetic, it was closed in the middle of summer. Seriously, one half star, tops, and that's only because it didn't have bed bugs.
