Although our stay was ultimately good and the property was conveniently located to a variety of nice places to eat, I am giving my overall rating as a 1 because of the nearly impossible pre-checkin process which was required because we had booked for two nights but we’re not arriving until the morning of the second night. I booked through Travelocity, and felt that I was being punished at every step of the way because I had not booked directly through the property. I called immediately after booking to explain our situation and was told that we would need to do a pre-checkin online through the Marriot Bonvoy app; I only had the Travelocity itinerary number and was not able to check in on Bonvoy, and after contacting the property again, was only given the Marriott confirmation numbers after I informed them that since they would not provide me with the information I needed, I would have to cancel as we would be arriving after a very long day of travel and wanted to be assured that our room would be available. On the day that we needed to complete the pre-checkin, I was not able to do so as the Bonvoy app did not recognize our confirmation number. I contacted the property multiple times by messaging, email, and phone calls and was told each time that the problem was due to booking through a 3rd party. Many hours and much frustration later, Serena saved the day and liked our Travelocity booking to the Marriott reservation. Ridiculous, will avoid staying at a Marriott in future.

We had to check in later than planned but the guy working was very unsocial..didn’t greet us just asked our name..said he needed a card for incidentals and when I asked how much that was he said I don’t know like $100 or something. We got to our room to find a semi clean bathroom, the tv was broken and when I called down from the room phone they wouldn’t answer. I called the hotel from my private phone and they answered finally..the answer I received regarding the phone was it’s been out for awhile through the whole hotel. I don’t know what to tell you. We stayed the night because we had an early flight and wanted a good night sleep and that didn’t happen because the A/C wasn’t staying cold. It was just like a fan was running at room temperature. Just extremely disappointed in the service we received considering ALOFT is a hotel we prefer to stay at when out of town. Won’t be coming back and

Many rooms appeared to be available when I made my same-day reservation on Travelocity. Arrived at almost midnight on Christmas Eve to find complete bedlam in the lobby and no rooms available at all. Turned away despite paid-in-full reservation on my credit card!

Between the shower and the toilet I was glad I brought flip flops and Clorox wipes. Paola at the front desk was fantastic at check in. The location was fantastic for our needs. Otherwise it was not a great stay.
