Staff was excellent, continental breakfast was great, room was clean, but smelled musty, clothes rack falling off the wall, counter tops and in general just tattered. Some small refreshing needed to be a great stop.

Wifi didn't work in room! Wasted over a half hour going back and forth to the front desk, trying the many networks, re-entering the password, etc., and it still did not work. Wifi worked in the lobby with the help of the staff person, but did not work when we got to the room.

Hotel was next to the freeway so expect a bit of road noise. Front desk staff was friendly and check-in was fast and easy. Room could have been a bit cleaner especially the bathroom and tub had hair and very slow drains. The Hotel has flood lights that are on all night and window curtains do little to block the light coming into the room which made it difficult to sleep. We were unable to get the WiFi to connect but had great cell signal so we could tether from our phones with no issues. For the rate the hotel was a good value if you just need a place to crash while driving. There is a Denny's restaurant and gas station next door for breakfast and a quick gas up before hitting the road.

I needed a place to stay for the weekend that was close to Buttonwillow raceway and this was it. Price was ok, beds were comfortable, but the disappointing part was finding a cockroach on my bed when I walked in for the first time. Yes it was alive and working in pest control for a few years I knew it was a German cockroach which are usually just found in dirty households and places that aren’t cleaned. Needless to stay I had to check every crevice to make sure there wasn’t anymore which there were none that I found. Still didn’t make for an easy sleep the first night thinking about it.

THE ROACH HOTEL

Pros: NOTHING
Cons: EVERYTHING, TEAR IT DOWN.
Location: RIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY
BOOKED HOTEL THROUGH TRAVELOCITY. ROOM HAD TERRIBLE ODOR SO WE BOUGHT AN AIR FRESHENER WHICH HELPED SOMEWHAT. THE DOOR TO THE ROOM HAD A WIDE OPEN SPACE FROM THE MOULDING, OPEN TO THE OUTSIDE, THE ROOM LOOKED DINGY SO WE PUT OUR SUITCASES UP ON THE DESK. THANK GOD WE DID! WHEN WE WOKE IN THE MORNING THERE WERE 5 ROACHES AND A DROPPING ON ONE OF THE BEDS. IT ACTUALLY MADE US SICK, COULDN'T MAKE COFFEE BECAUSE THE COFFEEMAKER WAS DIRTY, SO WE MANAGED TO SHOWER, DRESS AND WERE OUT OF THERE BY 5:45 AM, EARLIER THAN WE WANTED TO BE. AFTER TELLING THE FRONT DESK ABOUT THIS NIGHTMARE, THERE WAS NO APPOLOGY, JUST THE CLERK SAYING, "I WILL TELL THE MANAGER". WE ARE TRYING TO GET OUR MONEY BACK FOR THIS HORRIBLE STAY.

The title of your review is misleading, as the pictures that you took were not "droppings" but a type of small beetle. Regardless of what insect they were, we do apologize for the inconvenience that they have caused during your stay with us. We do take measures to prevent insects from coming into the hotel. However, since Lost Hills is an agricultural area, there are those rare moments when insects do enter the property. We do apologize that your experience was not up to par. Hope you give us another chance in the future.
