I loved staying at Monarch Valley Inn. The staff is very personalable. The price is awesome compared to other hotels in the area, its clean and gave a generous grap n go breakfast every morning. Ill definitely be back.

The customer service was amazing. Receptionist was very informative and suggested places to dine and locations to check out. It was a quiet stay. No problems with noise, rested quite well. Stayed there for 2 days. Both was good. Gas prices are the best right next door to the Inn. Many places to eat, if you look around locally and at a close driving distance. Monarch Inn has breakfast bags in the AM, with self served coffee in the office. We stayed in a room with a small balcony. The area is residential. So you will face peoples home properties right outside the balcony. Room had a nice decent size fridge. Kept things cold. Coffee machine in the room, Tv, bathroom and shower. Hot water pressure was very low. Took a long while to warm. I suggest leaving the water running for several minutes so it can lightly warm up. Air-conditioned room, hot or Cool air. Second suggestion, make sure your air conditioning filter is clean. I dusted it off really good outside, still made the room dusty & stuffy. Clean beds, very comfortable. We slept well above the allergies. Vinyl flooring, third suggestion, MUST walk around your room w slippers keep your feel or sox clean. Mahalo-

Convenient and friendly hotel
The desk staff are SUPER nice and helpful! The property is next to a gas station, but they put effort into making it stylish. Once inside the room, the decor is cute and comfortable. Breakfast was a goodie bag to grab and go; it was perfect for us. My only complaint is the 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner...we have thick hair and need real conditioner. I would definitely stay again.

Don't let the exterior fool you
I was looking for a hotel that wasn't too expensive, and the reviews for Monarch Valley Inn were amazing. I decided to give it a try, and I wasn't disappointed. We had a room with a small balcony facing California Street. It felt very private and nice not to have a room with a window facing the walkway where people were walking by. Ask for one of these rooms if you can. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was lots of hot water in the shower. We had a room with two queen beds which we didn't need but it was all that was available when I made my last minute reservation. One of the beds was pushed against the wall, so if you have two people in that bed, one person won't be able to get up easily. People had mentioned the grab and go breakfast saying it included a granola bar and yogurt. It also included a Babybel cheese, a Svenhards pastry, fig bars, a tangerine, a banana, and we had the choice of either a bean, cheese and rice burrito, breakfast Hot Pocket, or Jimmy Dean sausage sandwich. They don't have a place to eat in the lobby, so you'll have to take the food back to your room. Coffee was available as were instant oatmeal packets and tea bags. The woman working in the mornings, Laura, was delightful to talk with. (I hope her boss sees this.) It was really cold when we got to the room, but the heater worked perfectly and we were cozy and warm very quickly. We will definitely stay here again.

We drove all morning, went to visit the university, and just needed a room for the night. The rooms smelled wonderful, they were clean, spacious. The rooms had a coffee maker, a fridge, and microwave. The beds were comfy. It was relatively quiet considering there is a gas station that shares the parking lot! They gave us complimentary bottles of water on arrival and grab and go breakfast bags in the morning. I saw they had flavors to put in your coffee at the front desk. For a quick stay for a family this was perfect!
