Check in was an hour late and then room cards didn’t work. So, became even later. What was worst is the whole time, staff kept trying to sell us time share. Even in spite of me explicitly declaring “no we are not interested and this is the last time I’ll say it” - staff continued to press. Even, when I called to ask about NyQuil for my wife, staff pressed. It was SO disrespectful and made what was an unpleasant stay. We felt as though we were harassed the entire time.

The hotel grounds are amazing

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, friendly staff, free shuttle, complimentary wine
The hotel grounds were incredible. There are fountains, seating areas and fireplaces scattered around to tuck into and get away. There is a free shuttle service to take you into downtown Napa. That was a surprise. One of the on-site restaurants, the Crush, was a blast. Bowling, pool tables and shuffle board were a welcome change of pace after a long day of wine tasting. There are TVs galore with every sport playing and very friendly staff. The rooms had nice amenities and classy cabinetry and features. Get a balcony...you'll love it. They provided complementary wine chilled in the fridge from their Trinitas label for our arrival. The other on-site restaurant, Siena, was a bit pricey (welcome to Napa) for the portion size, but the complementary sparkling wine made up for it. We have small kids and didn’t think we’d mind spending time at the “family pool”. Although nice in it’s own right, after visiting the low- key “Adults Only” pool, we didn’t go back. A much welcomed oasis. The pool view is of the rolling hills of the onsite vineyard. The pool has the most seating, lounge chairs and umbrellas I’ve seen. Different levels and sections of the pool grounds were a high class use of space. Wood decks under your feet made the hot sun bearable. The cabanas were a great place to cool off and relax. They had self-serve iced water with lemon available. The wait staff at pool side were incredible and helpful. Pool side service was pricey, but again, Welcome to Napa. Would we go back? Um yes. Have it planed and are already counting down the days.

A nice place at a good price

Pros: Quiet, free internet with mandatory fee, nice kitchen, nicely appointed room, comfortable bed, free wine with mandatory fee
Cons: Nothing close, mandatory spa fee
We enjoyed our stay here and had read enough reviews to realize that this wasn't a real hotel, but a time-share being rented out. Check-in is at the neighboring Meritage Resport - there is no check-in at the Vina Bello. But it's not much of a schlepp. The Meritage lobby was a constructiono zone, sop that was a little confusing. They insisted we pay a $20 resort fee, even if we weren't using the resort. But it covered internet, parking and a $12 bottle of complimentary wine - we dind't drink the wine, but decided to take it with us. The room was lovely and the bed comfortable. We would have used the whirlpool by the pool, but it was under repair. The hotel isn't near anything. But we had a car, so that wasn't a problem. It served our purpose and was comfortable.

This hotel was beautiful. The rooms were great, the location was stunning and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
This hotel has two adjoining hotels; The Meritage and Vino Bello. Both were fantastic as I stayed at Vino Belli and my sister stayed at The Meritage. Each had a pool and hot tub. All amenities were easy to locate and the wine cave and vineyard were stunning. The staff was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

2nd stay- good location to explore all over the Napa Valley. Friendly staff

We enjoy Vino Bella-- comfortable, well executed rooms with great views, amenities and superior customer service. This stay was no exception on all the above and we were pleased to see there is another wing going in (especially in this economy). Check in was uneventful, and even though we were early and the rooms were not ready, we were invited to relax in the reception area and have a wine tasting or tour the grounds/pool area. Beds were extremely comfortable, and I loved the view (towards Napa) so much better than the view towards the pool- which tends to be loud all night. Our only tiny complaints we there are no full length mirrors in the rooms (we noticed this last time too)- frustrating if you have a nice dinner or function to go out to- there is no way to check your outfit. The foyer between adjoining rooms tends to be really loud when housekeeping/other guests are going in and out the 2 doors. A lot of the doors squeak, or the maids leave the door open with the bolt lock, and while they go in and out to clean, it tends to bang around a bit. We happened to also have a room directly next to the maids closet- so that was additionally louder than we would have preferred, but not loud enough to call about. Other than those tiny things- we loved our stay (and so did the parents) and the shuttle driver and receptionist were particularly impressive this trip. I hope we get another chance to stay longer and be able to utilize the full resort next time!

WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN

Cons: Nothing close, Noisy, too many kids
I'm an experienced business traveler sleeping at hotels 125+ nights a year. This place feels like a low end apartment building that caters to children. They have two small kid pools and a large pool.Unfotunately at 9:00 P.M. the hot tub was full of very young screaming and yelling kids. Try relaxing in the hot tub in that enviroment. The time share/hotel caters to children.Just like a Disney cruise! This is not a resort enviroment....more like an apartment complex located in an industrial business park. The property has poorly constructed rooms with no soundproofing in the walls or ceiling.Very noisy and far from relaxing. They also gouge you for a $15 day resort fee.....for the use of pool and the usual features of hotels. I never write reviews.....but this dump warrants one. Do yourself a favor and look for another hotel.
