The management was great but the place is in need of a upgrade badly, but its like most old motels. Except for the burned up car and a junk car setting in the little garages they have for you to park in. Rooms were so so clean but could use a deep cleaning from what i seen in window ceils and corners. Guess the price was ok considering its California, but if you wanted a nonsmokering room it cost more...properly won't stay here again.

This is a horrible place to stay. It is located in a very bad area and no sense of safety. It was just an open motel that anyone can come in. I checked in at 10:00 and it was very scary outside. The cashier is just like a convenient store. It says on Travelocity it was 7.1 miles away from my sons school. It was wrong information because the drive was 38 mins. I got lost taking the train and missing the time with my son from college. The room that they gave me is near where the owners family is staying and it was loud as can be. I can hear the telephone ringing. I didn’t sleep well at all and at 7:00 the children are running and talking very loud. What a horrible and terrible place to stay..Travelocity be careful of what you’re advertising because this is a true experience!!!!

For starters: door to unit ill-fitted the door opening top, side & bottom, so that cold air streamed into the room. Had to turn on wall heater to 75 to counter influx of cold air. At 4:30 a.m. a woman in an adjoining room, for 20+ minutes, non-stop, angrily yelled & cursed. I left the place w/ a head cold. Assigning motel any stars would’ve been a lie, much less the three assigned by the booker, Travelocity.

Drug infested and illegal activities BEWARE

Pros: nothing
Cons: It needs major improvement, and do consumers a favor and take this motel off your listing as it is false advertisement on your site. It is run down.
Location: It is a really unsafe neighborhood for anyone that is looking for a reasonable place to stay. Please remove this run down drug infested motel.
I am disputing the $115.83 charge against my card on 08/09 by Travelocity. I am not from California or familiar with the Oakland areas. I booked Harris Motel by accident on my phone looking for an overnight stay in Oakland on 08/08. Once I realize the mistake, I went ahead and drove by the motel since it was near my airport location and wanted to make good faith efforts despite the error. I also immediately reached out to Travelocity via phone to let them know of the issue while in route. Upon driving up to the Harris Motel, I noticed a lot of patrons standing outside drinking and potential illegal activities happening right in front of the Harris Motel. I was traveling along with my best friend and being that we are both young females we did not feel safe staying at this location. Therefore, I went to the front desk and asked the agent if I could cancel because I booked by accident and that I didn't feel safe staying due to all the illegal activities that was going on upon our arrival. He advised me to call Travelocity and to deal with them because I originally booked through their website. I called back Travelocity and was placed on hold once more and the CS advised me that the hotel did NOT give the approval for me to cancel the reservation even though it had been no more than 15-20mins from me making it online accidentally. I asked to escalate the call to a manager and was transferred several times and call disconnected on numerous attempts as well. I was stuck in a cit
