I won't stay here again
This condo was once a luxury condo, but unfortunately it no longer is. The couches you see in the picture are there; however the vinyl is peeling off of the one on the left. It is so bad that little pieces stick to your clothes and skin when you sit on it. It is still a comfortable couch, but in desperate need of at least a couch cover. The other couch is only peeling slightly, but very uncomfortable. It looked to be a fold out, but even so there was no support on the bottom for anyone to sit comfortably.
The most disappointing part of the trip and the condo was when we were awoken on the second night from the bed breaking beneath us.In the middle of the night the loudest slam and a jolt came from under the bed. At first I thought it was just a slat. Then I could hear the sound of cracking wood coming from beneath the bed. It was literally breaking apart. Even worse was that it looked like it was not the first time. The slat/support that broke off was not an original part of the bed. This piece of wood was a slightly different color and texture from the rest of the wood so it was obvious.
The above made the ants is the kitchen seem insignificant. I did not immediately notice them as we did not use the kitchen the first day. However, after I went to the store and placed items on the counter - that looked clean - I could see the tiniest of ants. I had bought clorox wipes and used these each time I was in the kitchen so the ants quickly disappeared.
I had to request multiple times within a week of departure for the access information to the condo. I was also never contacted by the owner after the trip; not about the bed or the refundable deposit. I hope they will use the money to replace the bed and not just fix it.
In an effort to not be completely negative I will say that Windsor Hills is very close and convenient to the Disney parks. It took maybe 10 minutes to get to the parking lot of any Disney park. The community pool was excellent. Only a short walk and perfect for small kids. The small shop had the basics needed for any stay. The condo itself was very large and clean.
Orlando has too much competition with vacation rentals for the above issues to be acceptable. I won't stay here again.
