Let me start by saying when I got to the hotel I was greeted by Evan at the front desk. He was pleasant and seemed to be very knowledgeable. My experience took a turn for the worse. I had an issue with my check in that took up my first evening in Santa Barbara. We finally got checked in and started our trip. We had two rooms at the hotel. On five different occasions we had to go back to the front desk because our room key did not work. I have never had that issue at any other hotel . It was ridiculous and annoying !!!! Our rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor were quiet until Friday night. A group stayed in the hall being extremely loud and arguing. I think it should be the hotel's responsibility to intervene in that situation. The King sized room was a bit small ,but I didn't go there to hang out in my room. It was clean and decorated nicely. The location was really the best part .You can walk to everything and I would advise that ,because parking can be difficult. With all that being said I might consider staying there again . I booked with a third party and gave my CC info for a deposit. They didn’t take that . Instead upon check in they charged me for my rooms in full. I’ve never had that happen before and I travel a lot. I used 2 CC for 2 different rooms. I checked out and one card now has 3 pending charges for two rooms . I’m not clear on why they didn’t process the payment with the cards given for the two separate rooms. I will update this review after I see what happens.

The property was very nice. The staff even better. The hotel is a ten minute walk to the beach. State street is around the corner where there is a lot to do.
