This was the 2nd worst hotel experience I have ever had. My room was on the 1st floor, and people were constantly walking around in the room above mine and it sounded like the ceiling was going to cave in. There were creepy people looking in my back windows. The bed was uncomfortable, I got bit by a bug while in bed, it was super noisy, and generally skanky. The TV didn't work. I was so disappointed that I left without even staying overnight, and took a financial hit since I could not be refunded for that night's stay. To their credit, they did refund me the other 2 nights I was supposed to stay there though. I went to a different hotel. This place was very much overpriced.

This has been my go-to motel in Sarasota for about a decade now. It could use a little TLC. Starting to get a little worn down. But it's conveniently located on Tamiami Tr bus route #99 which will bring you to and from downtown Sarasota. There is a Walmart nearby in case you forgot to pack something.

My confirmation email said check-in was at 1pm. We arrived at 1:40 and we were told we could not check i because our room was being "deep-cleaned." We returned and checked in. After walking on the floor barefoot, the bottoms of our feet were black. We wiped our feet with a washcloth and I wish I could share the pic of it. This room was NOT cleaned. The air conditioning unit did not work. Thank goodness it was cool enough outside to have the windows open. The morning we were checking out there was a woman sitting outside who I assume was the cleaning lady because she asked how our room was. A child was yelling at her across the parking lot. The ice from the ice machine had black specs on it, and in the morning the ice machine was empty.

My wife and I were so pleased with the floorplan and amenities in the room. Perfect in so many ways. This will be our temporary residence every time we have to Sarasota, from this day forward. 😉

The room / suit was very good. Some items were missing from room that we needed and never received. Requested they provide them, Sink drain stopper, ironing board, and there was supposed to be four of everything dishes cups glasses and silverware, we had enough for two so we were ok. But had to finally buy a sink stopper to wash the dishes. Otherwise stay was ok.

The hotel front desk person was extremely accommodating and apologetic when we found roaches in the room. He offered to either switch rooms or would provide a refund for our stay. We chose to switch rooms. Our second room was clean and had no issues.
