The room had a fabulous view of the vineyards. Interior décor not well thought out in the living room and upstairs shower room (which had no furniture at all). Having two fireplaces was great, but one little bundle of kindling ($5) per fireplace did not enable us to have a proper fire in either of them---and on days when it rained relentlessly, that would have been greatly appreciated!

bad room service

Pros: the view
Cons: room service
room is ok nice view, the only bad thing was room service. I called in a dinner order for me and my wife after a hour wait I called back on the status and the guy that answered didn't know if the order was placed so he said he would call us back and let us know. After 20 min I called back and the same guy answered and said that someone dropped the ball and was supposed to call us back with the status on our dinner. 15 min. later he called us back and said that food will be ready in 10 min. 1 hour and 45 min wait for a 135 dollar dinner.

Great hotel in St. Helena

Pros: Friendly service, nice location. Small but central. Restaurant was awesome. Please eat there is you stay at this property.
Location: Lots of wineries and restaurants.
The Harvest Inn is a well-located small inn close to wineries and good restaurants. I liked the curb-side check in when I pulled up. I was a bit early so my room wasn't ready but waited in the comfortable lounges on the deck and enjoyed a light lunch from the excellent restaurant. Break fast is included with the room and was delicious with a choice of hot items (bacon is fabulous) and pastries. I could have used more fruit options at breakfast but that a minor point. I had a fountain room and it was comfortable with a small balcony (ask for a second story room, if possible). Large-ish room with nice soaking tub and separate shower. I was in Napa for a conference not as a tourist so didn't spend much time at the pool or spa. The pool was small but nice. It was over 100 degrees so was too hot to sit out for too long even under an umbrella. Pool included separate hot tub area.
