The property is in an excellent location. It could use a deep cleaning and some carpets need replacing in highly used areas. The jr. King kitchenette suites need better seating. The big Red chair was not usable because you slide right off and the other chair was very dirty. We used a blanket to cover it to use it. We had to sit on the bed to drink coffee or eat snacks. The room was a nice size and very spacious for our needs. The bed linens and bath towels were very clean. The toilet needed a better cleaning as dried urine was on and under the toilet seat. Everyone was very friendly and eager to assist us. I liked that there was a safe to lock up valuables. And I loved how animal friendly the whole staff and rooms were here.

After arriving I was charged $50 for parking and an additional $25 fee for booking through Travelocity on a same day, non-refundable booking. Not okay. While I was traveling the hotel sent me an email outlining these charges. The parking was in an open garage in an alley behind the hotel. Five spaces. Breakfast was awful. Elevator didn’t work in the a.m. Hotel was clean and nice looking. Walls were paper thin.

This hotel is not really close to anything you'd want to see but it is in a great part of DC about 2 blocks from Pennsylvania Ave. It's a great spot near some nice restaurants. Breakfast wasn't all that ( you can do better in Penn. Ave ). They say you have to buy it but you cannot out. Also was told no street parking. On weekends there was no problem. You can park on the street across from the hotel.
