This was the worst of 12 hotels in our trip. To unload, one pulls into a narrow lane leading to an independently owned garage accessed with the room key. The manager warned that “people roam the garage overnight” and there are no security cameras. Because our room reeked of smoke we switched to another that the receptionist claimed was comparable (“all rooms are essentially the same”). But it had not a single chest of draws compared to three in the first (we had to place everything on the floor). The elevator is old, jerky, noisy, and very slow. Rooms are poorly kept: the furniture, chipped, the carpet dirty; our door did not close; the wifi is useless. the bathroom dingy, the extractor broken. I had to flush the toilet 7 times. Our room lacked supplies: the receptionist struggled to fold the missing towels (during a pandemic!) and put supplies on the counter. When I remarked that she had soiled them, she peevishly replied that “all other customers seem fine with this.” I pressed that she had lied to me about the rooms being “essentially the same”; she noted they had the same beds! It took us 90 mins to move in. The receptionist bullied me with threats to call security. She also mocked us by proposing to put us back in the first room. Breakfast is rationed: you get either a small cereal box or a sandwich; milk is on demand. They have coffee and waffles, but nothing else. This was one of our pricier bookings but unquestionably the worst experience. Look elsewhere for lodging.

I just liked the quietness. I didn’t like the random call at 11pm after I checked in asking what was the name of the person checked in because it didn’t show anyone.

I have difficult ambulating and called the hotel request accommodations. The staff was very quick to assist me and I was very surprised by the accurate notes on my file so the staff knew who I was and what was discussed. This was my second stay at Comfort Suites. I have stayed at at least four other hotels in Visalia. but this is the best.

The hotel was conveniently located and we were able to walk to some great places to eat! The guy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. We were very pleased overall with our 3 night stay!
