A beautiful retreat
This was an amazing place to stay!! Private home set up as eightplex for visitors in Galveston. Sat on front porch in a comfy rocking chair enjoying lifes sounds in the evening. All done in antiques and so lovely!

Definitely recommend
Excellent place to stay. I was solo but it would be especially awesome for groups traveling together to all have their own space plus group space. My room was close to the kitchen so there was potential for it being too noisy for me, but I was lucky and it was fine.

Wonderful Classic Home B&B in Galveston
The 1890 was a very cute B&B in Galveston that was a perfect location to attractions and bars/restaurants. Many were within walking distance. The 1890 immediately transports you to a simpler time and place. The living room was complete with a decorated Christmas tree and a coffee table with a copy of A Christmas Carol. One could easily imagine a family sitting around the table listening to a reading of this wonderful story with cup of coffee or tea. Serving trays and glasses were available in each room for family refreshments or more sophisticated drinks for any adults, and a coffee and tea bar was available in the living room which was fully stocked. The kitchen was very modern and had all amenities you could want. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The porch was relaxing and providing a great view while taking in the fresh evening air. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're in town. My wife and I would absolutely stay again when we come back to Texas. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
