Centrally located in the lovely Mount Dora, you can walk anywhere – great kids playground at Gilbert Park, stunning sunset views at Evans Park, great nature trail at Palm Island Park, Amish deli, Brewery, and Boat+Bike Rentals all within 5 minutes! Less than 1 mile away is downtown Mount Dora where you will find the acclaimed festivals, art, antiques, biking routes, café’s and restaurants, breweries and wineries! You are also under 1 hour from the big theme parks, downtown Orlando and the Orlando International Airport, or Kennedy Space Center for some fun day trips. Dora’s Nest is the perfect base for your next Florida getaway!
This south part of the Mt Dora historic district is full of charm and character. Right on Highland Street are Abbey Street Brewery, Highland Cafe, and Adrenaline Bike Shop. Gilbert Park, Grantham Point, the public boat ramp, and Palm Island Boardwalk are all a short walk from the house - offering ample opportunities to get outside.
Guests will have access to the entire home and yard.
Please be considerate of the resident neighbors. Quiet time starts at 10 pm.
No parking is allowed on the street in front of the house. Parking is limited to 3 cars.
Mt. Dora strictly enforces the 25 mph speed limits so please drive safely!
This old-Florida home underwent a full renovation in 2022. The living room provides comfortable seating for enjoying TV, playing some of the included board games. A 55" wall-mounted TV is outfitted with Xfinity cable and popular streaming apps. A Bluetooth speaker is available for setting the mood just right.

The well-equipped kitchen features butcher block counter tops, brand new stainless appliances, plenty of space to move around and all the staples needed for you and your guests - including a new air fryer and convection oven, tea kettle, and kuerig machine.. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining room that seats 6, overlooking the green back yard!

The master bedroom and private bath include a king-sized bed, 50" TV with Xfinity cable and smart apps, reading lamps with bedside switches, and extra-large subway-tiled shower. There are ceiling fans in all the bedrooms.

Bedrooms 2 and 3 are very similar - equipped with queen beds, nightstands, wardrobe for hanging clothes and drawers, and electronic charging stations. Both have windows that allow views of the rear garden, allow in plenty of light when desired, and 2-inch blinds for privacy.

The second full bathroom is spacious and has a glass-enclosed shower, bright lights, and full-sized sink.

There is a washer and dryer available, central AC, fast WiFi, cable TV, and fully digital lock system with your own personal entry code.

This is a pet-free and non-smoking property. We recognize that many people have sensitivities and our property allows for easy breathing.
Mt Dora is very friendly to cars, bikes, and walkers of all ages. Ample parking is available onsite and in the downtown area. The streets are well lit and safe for walking any time. Adrenaline Bike Shop offers bike rentals, if you want some wheels during your stay.
