Carole, at check-in, was very warm, welcoming, and friendly. She went out of here way to help us with dinner options as well. She really set the precedence for a lovely stay. I will definitely be back.

Location is great for our desired proximity to Shadyside and other East End neighborhoods. The suite layout with separate bedroom and full kitchen is very good for families, and the suite was spacious. The design and decor was a bit extreme on the contemporary design; aside from some art showing Pgh rivers, there wasn't a natural element to be found! If our stay had been one night longer, I would have purchased flowers for the room. The water is very soft (not usually the case in Pgh). It was difficult to wash away soap. But the room was quiet and comfortable for temperature. I would stay there again (and purchase flowers for the room).

I didn't like my rooms view. My view was of a metal roof. Luckily we weren't in the room much. Everything else was great. Very clean, bed was comfy.

The room is a very good size. And the chamber maid took good care of it. The breakfast is great. I like that it's open for three hours. And the food is quite good, especially the omelets. All of the staff were particularly friendly and quite accommodating. The shower does leak onto the bathroom floor, though, which is of concern. We didn't want anyone to slip.
