The property was overall very nice. I had an issue on my first night where I was locked out of my room because the door was not working. On my last night, the wifi was unavailable so it made working very difficult. My request to extend my checkout time was also denied.

GREAT staff during a snow storm
During a snow storm that knocked power out for thousands of portalnd residents, a ton of locals converged onto hotels for a place to shelter. The staff at Hyatt Centric is FANTASTIC and treated everyone with warmth and respect, all while the staff had to stay days at a time at the hotel without being able to go home themselves. Above and beyond the call of duty, and I appreciate and applaud every single employee for making the best out of a hard situation.

We loved staying at the Hyatt Centric in Downtown Portland. The staff was incredibly accommodating to my family and me during last week's snow/ice storm. They were able to give us a room quickly and worked hard to accommodate us. While they were understaffed and openly recognized that, they put in extra special touches such as giving us a lot of free snacks to accommodate us and make us happy. I can confidently say that the staff here cares about their customers and that the hotel is very well run. I'd definitely recommend the Hyatt Centric in Downtown Portland as a great play to stay. You will be treated very well!
