I expected much more from a Melia. I stayed for 14 days and my experience was not good, especially at the beginning where my room presented leak. It took them 5 days to change me to another room which also had problems (air conditioning was not working properly, broken bed). Then, I gave up complaining. Dinner reservation is just a mess as well. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great service during low season:

These resorts have everything. Meliá stood out by the quality of the service. Without being fastidious, they really did the extra mile on customer service. Bravo! Gotta mention that y the ent during the second/third week of December. High season but not really at its peak. Oh! Best beach I’ve ever been in Punta Cana.

I had a friend pick me up and had more the. 30 min waiting and I had more the 3 big suit case and there chooses was to get me a mini cart me and my family to throw me too the entrance I was very angry I had my daughter my wife and my wife mother and the benifet there will tell you that it is expired and if they give you a credit just know you have to wast more so you could use it I stayed here 4 days and it was wast of my money

Amazing staff and amazing buffet. Staff Odalys really made my check in process smooth and fixed any issues I had also Kilvania the concierge made the reservations at the statehouse and made any issues we had with reservations and Cabana reservations easy and she’s definitely an asset to the hotel.

Spent most of our time at the pools, nights were spent at the lobby and casino. Music and dancing was a good time. Didn’t appreciate having to buy what I guess is considered high end alcohol at an all inclusive resort. Big turnoff for this inconvenience and up charge. Top corner of sheet came off the bed, surprised to find a filthy mattress. Found on second to last day. Food was ok and kept me alive. All and all a very busy and large resort with a lot of staff and things to constantly take care of. Lots of family’s and kids near you he beach with a quieter pool near the lobby. Good time’s were had by all… would I go back? Maybe… won’t be my first choice. Peace to all…

We enjoyed our stay though we hardly saw our concierge during our stay. Upon checkout, we were told of benefits we never knew we had with our stay that perhaps our concierge might have shared with us. While he replied to texts I couldn't have picked him out of a lineup as I never saw him after he took us to our room on day 1. The food was good, the other staff were friendly and accommodating although it is impossible to get anyone at a restaurant to show you a menu. If you ask for a menu they tell you to use the app which was giving me issues. Kind of a rude way to reply when you're standing at a restaurant and you KNOW they have menus they could hand you. The property is very pretty and I would have to say our best dining experience was Cafe Nao. Really wonderful.

This was our third visit to the Meliá (Level). Very satisfied in general . Some improvements could be made. We were disappointed with the inflatable floating kids park , right in front of the Level beach. It’s quite an eyesore. It was hard to find chairs on the beach because of people that are not level customers but are using the beach reserved for it. Our favorite restaurant was the Riviera, the service is great. Awesome staff. Rooms are getting a little old in the section we were ( building 34).

The beach is beautiful. The walk between the lobby and beach is about 10 minutes, give or take depending on how fast you walk. Rooms are old and need updating. Our shower leaked, drawers were broken, etc but the main attraction is the beach anyway, so who cares. The food was good. Service was pretty slow and seemed confused, but the people are nice. The best thing, though, is that it’s cheap. And overall, it’s good value for the money you spend. You just have to adjust your expectations to a mid level resort. I’d come back.

Have always enjoyed Melia at this location. This was our 8th trip, since 2010. There have been many upgrades and renovations over the years and the property continues to be second to none. The food is also very good. Over the past 15 years we have also noted certain things slipping. Although there are several well trained and experienced staff still around, it has been noted that there are many new ones that do not seem to have the right skill set. We enjoy eating at The Riviera (originally Gabi’s), however tables seem to not be managed well, even with reservations, we were kept waiting some nights, for over half an hour. Food was always good and service was as well, for the most part. Despite calling the front Level and then visiting them in person, we did not receive any drinking water for the room for an entire night. The in-room jacuzzi jets were not functional, nor was the TV. Not a big deal, as we were not there to watch TV, but still a sign of things not being attended to. Most days we did not get enough bath towels or any face cloths. One of the things we really liked about Melia over the years was the attention placed on detail. It was consistently well maintained and kept up. This didn’t seem to be the case this round. New Years Eve celebrations were always quite well done in years passed. The cut backs this year were evident. Overall, we still would go back, but I hope the place does not continue on this decline, otherwise the large cost per person
