Cons: the room (3601) by the beach smelled like mold. when we got home to unpack our clothes it smelled like mold. All the items that weren’t worn has to be washed. My makeup brush smells as well. My partner and I were locked out our room until 1:37 in the morning. The following morning we had to sit around and wait for someone to come change the lock or battery for our room. The experience with the vacation club was horrendous and wasted most of our day(if you decide to do a membership with them please read the contract don’t just sign). The food could be better. Food was cold a lot of the times. Pros: service in riviera was great. Dulce Diaz, Francisco Diaz, Jose Diaz, Ramon Sosa and the rest of the team was pleasant and very helpful. They made sure our needs are met. Our butler Manuel was great as well. The grounds were beautiful.

Magical. Everything was perfect. The staff was so friendly and caring. My son was home-sick and they made sure to do everything to make him feel at home. Very clean, organized, caring. Couldn’t have picked a better place to travel with a 3 year old and with the Covid craziness.

This hotel isn’t like it used to be. They have so many restaurants closed and the staff that helps you make reservations are so rude. She made us reservations and turns out the restaurant was closed. The staff isn’t friendly and nice. The service isn’t that well. It was so much better 4 years ago. When you try to speak to someone they can’t understand you at all. People give you the wrong directions all the time. Food wasn’t that great and they didn’t clean the room that well. Do not recommend. Pay a little extra and go somewhere else.

I liked how nice the property was and how clean the workers kept everything. The workers were all super nice and friendly and their main focus was to make sure we were having a great time! I wish there would have been more food options or activities going on though.

I have taken multiple vacations to DR including Punta Cana, however this has been the worse experience my family and I had. The check in process was terrible. Unless you are consider priority check in they will put you in a room with food covered in flies and staff that are competely disorganized and cannot direct you properly. The food can vary depending on your taste buds. For us had no taste and the worst part not well cooked. My 11 year old got food poisoning while staying at this resort and she does not eat sea food. Also let me mention she was served an Alcoholic beverage, fortunately she tasted the sourness and indeed the waiter agreed it had alcohol. All they did was apologize and say the bartender made a mistake. The service was beyond terrible. Everyone gives attitude, they will not serve you unless you ask. We waited for over 15 minutes for water and utensils every single meal. For every breakfast no one even approached our table to ask for beverages, we always had to look for a waiter ad there are plenty of them around yet no one wants the reponsability. Keep in mind we always tip every meal, every drink. The room service was all about just doing your bed. There were dead flies on the walls from the moment we checked in till the moment we checked out. Smeared blood from dead flies on the walls from prior guest. I’m sure if I see it they do to. Every night I will will do a tea for my daughter or coffe for my husband and the coffemachine was never washed.
