5 star property/ Buffet Food is 0-1 star. It is actually disgusting. Meat, mayonnaise sitting out in the 80–90-degree heat sweating. Dinners are 2.5-3 Star. Drinks are terrible 1-2 star. Hard to drink Presidente Lukewarm. Frozen drink are all melted. They have no ice anywhere. Jamacia, Virgin Islands, or Mexico had no problems. It's a challenge in Punta Cana. Might be done with this Island.

This was our second time at this location. First time was amazing. This time was different. Had to try 3 times to get the correct room. I reserved two twin beds. First two rooms were just a king and a pull out bed. Took about 90 minutes to straighten that out. The staff was friendly. The concierge tricked me into waisting 90 minutes to try and get to to buy into a time share. The food is just okay. Upon checkout they practically wouldnt let me check out until I did the review email. They even tried taking my phone to look through my personal email. I finally had to be stern and told them to kick rocks. 48 hours later I got my review email which im doing now. Probably would have been better review had they left me alone. I will not go back to that location which is a shame as my son loved it both times.

We really loved the experience, especially the private customer service from the entire staff (Expedia and hotel personnel); however, we didn’t like that there was elevator to go the third floor and the a/c was not functioning properly.

Beware of Scam Tours Sold by office at the beach

The review I am giving is primarily due to the people running the tour office near the beach at the hotel. My understanding is that the hotel is responsible for the vendors it allows to sell tours to its guests. The tour office located within the hotel sold us a glass-bottom boat tour, and the salesperson, Mario Santana, promised we would see dolphins, take pictures with them, view starfish, and enjoy drinks and snacks. He assured us we would be on a nice boat where we could see underwater through the glass. After charging us $180, they took us to the beach and rented a small, unsafe, and old boat with a dirty, unclear glass bottom. We didn’t see any dolphins, starfish, or anything else as promised. Additionally, no drinks or snacks were provided. This was a complete scam, and they refused to take any responsibility for it. Do not trust Mario Santana or this tour office. The hotel should hold them accountable for deceiving its guests.

Certain staff from Reception were exceptional. The waiters, servers, cleaning and bartenders were what made the stay better. The food was not great. There were days better than others. There was a lack of traditional Dominican cuisine. The drinks were also OK. it just depended which bar they were ordered from. The hotel is very outdated. The bathrooms in the room are very inconvenient. We had a bathroom where there was only one shower door, which caused the bathroom floor to remain wet the entire time. We had a medical emergency with our baby and the resort definitely takes advantage of the situation. The “doctor” at the resort Only cared about the money. They did very little to help us yet still charged an unreasonable price for “checking” the baby. The shows and animations were a great part for the kids and family. The water park was nice too. For breastfeeding and pumping mothers there is NO accommodation for storing your milk. The fridge in the rooms do not get too cold and management doesn’t put much effort into helping figuring it out. We traveled with a small cooler and had to keep refilling it with ice everyday. Overall I would not return nor recommend anyone to stay here. With the exception of the working staff it was not the best experience.

Google and other sites have this property rated in the 4s and I can only imagine it’s because the staff hound you for the positive reviews. We refused to do it while there. Upon arrival, the information was very limited. We were unable to get a reservation for the first night because we arrived at 5:05 and they stop taking reservations at 5. We went the buffet and the food was downright awful. There were flies all over all the food and half the food was cold and hard. A majority of the staff were rude and acted like us being there was a major inconvenience and a bother to them. There were a handful of staff that were super friendly and helpful, but it was the exception and not the norm. They try and sell you on the vacation club there and if you don’t partake in the meeting, they straight up ignored my family after we didn’t want to attend their seminar. The bartenders by the pool dished out whatever they wanted. The waterpark was the reason why we booked the property and kept our kids entertained for a few hours every day. The kid club was .6 miles away from the pool and our room so our kids did not access it. The pool seemed clean. The restaurants were okay. Japanese restaurant was good, Mediterranean food had decent options. The steakhouse was the best but the furniture was covered in bird poop so it was difficult to be comfortable there when you had to watch where you were sitting. All the chairs were covered so it wasn’t a matter of changing out the chair.
