The hotel and its staff were excellent and very friendly. One observation: the poolside food area, in addition to burgers, should offer more options such as pizza or snacks. Also, in the evenings, there should be more options for children—not just on one day.

Staying here was great. The facility is beautiful, open, spacious, and VAST! While there is a lot of walking, they make up for it with continuous golf carts going around the facility and can request a ride in the app/website. The room was beautiful and clean. It had a nice king-size bed, spacious area to sit inside and out, double-sink, and dual-showerheads. ;-) Dining options were fantastic to choose from and so much we didn’t get thru all of them (mainly because we enjoyed the Italian restaurant a lot). The staff was extremely friendly and fun. Some notable mentions. Dauris from El Beso Beach bar such a fun guy when making your drinks. Edward was very nice and had a good memory on your drinks. Roberto from Dolce Vita was always excited to see my wife and I and made sure we were taken care of each time. Lastly, Privileged was worth every penny. It comes with your personal butler and ours, José, was fantastic. Anything you need (within reason) or had an issue, he took care of. It made our experience stress-free. 🙂 A couple of small annoyances I will mention that didn’t take away from this being a 5-star place, but could help the resort enhance the experience for others. 1. The whole resort lost power a couple of times, which was weird but it came back on within a few minutes. 2. Vendors they bring onto the resort in the Plaza Area, very pushy. That part did make us upset and have to find ways to avoid them. 3. Music on El Beso side too loud at times. We’ll be back. 🙂

This was such an amazing stay! The property was beautiful! I loved all the restaurants, the pools, beach and most importantly the drinks, there was alot to do and the staff kept me entertained and were very hospitable, I was never in need for anything. Almost like they thought of everything, even brought extra towels in the evenings. My concierge Jose was the ABSOLUTE BEST! Very professional, he checked on me daily and got all my dinner reservations taken care of for me, he even helped me with getting my excursions at the last minute. Exceptional service, I would recommend this hotel to any and everyone! This was my first solo trip and I’m so happy I chose it. 10000/10!

Ricardo went above and beyond to assist me upon my arrival after a very unsettling experience I had with my airport shuttle (NOT in anyway affiliated with this resort). Ricardo was beyond amazing and was my first impression of the Ocean El Faro resort, as I had never been here before and had never visited an Ocean property prior. I can not thank Ricardo enough for his professionalism and assistance. Ricardo…THANK YOU! I can not say that enough. The staff at Ocean El Faro is exceptional. Jose, my butler, was fantastic! Bad staff, no proper check in check out services. It was my wife’s birthday trip. They couldn’t accommodate a cake for her even after so many messages. The place is huge so you need to get your staff educated about how to help people

Jose and his team took care of us. Had great food options and plenty to choose from. We enjoyed our stay so much we became members! He booked our dinners with ease. Jose provided top notch service the whole trip. Just showed up and we were good. Nightly entertainment and the sports bar were a big hit especially with March Madness going on! Steakhouse and Margarita were our favorites. Buffet was great too with plenty of food options for everyone Rooms are spacious, modern and clean! Housekeeping was excellent! If anything needs to improve it would be the food options for the Privilege guests. Need to have more of a variety in the Privilege Lounge. Options for breakfast, lunch and dinner were very limited! The chef should be cooking to order there. We upgraded and there were less food options at the Privilege dining facility so we went back to the other better options.
