We had such an incredible stay at Ocean El Faro. We had a swim up suite so every day just had beautiful views and was so convenient. In addition we had a butler named Jose, he was so attentive and made sure my husband and myself were taken care of. He booked all reservations for us, made sure our room was stocked, and took care of any special requests. We could not say enough how great he was, would recommend requesting him personally if possible. Where we were located we took advantage of the Pool Bar by the lazy river. Omar and Danny saw us coming and would have our drink order ready for us, they were excellent. It’s also close to the beach entrance, which we enjoyed some evening walks on. Our favorite restaurant at the resort was Dolce Vita, it is one that requires a reservation. Our server Luis was also a favorite, his recommendations made for an even better evening. The resort is large, but they make sure it is so convenient with multiple pools, restaurants, and a trolley you can catch to help you get around. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Ocean El Faro and would love to visit again.

This resort is stunning. It's beautiful. The layout is really nice. The grounds are clean and kept up. Our room was absolutely amazing. The resort is very large, so eventhough it might be busy and sold out, there is plenty of space for everybdoy. The lazy river is great. They have tubes for the river this year, so that was really nice. This is our favorite place to stay.

I had an amazing time at Ocean El Farro. The pool was clean and the cleaning staff did a great job.The rooms were very clean and the staff were all welcoming, respectful and helpful. I enjoyed the Japanese restaurant the most. The chefs were very entertaining. The steakhouse was good, but the portions were very small. The buffet had decent options and the kids enjoyed it. I enjoyed the virtual games however I didn’t like that the bowling alley didn’t allow my 4 year-old to participate. They should invest in a bowling ramp for children. I did not enjoy Route 66-the after hrs food place. They should probably look into a new menu.. They had bingo and a beach fire show which was fun. All the bar staff were quick, funny and made amazing drinks. Overall, I had a great experience. This resort is great for couples and families.

The resort feels outdated and quite small. Many rooms seem to have maintenance issues, such as malfunctioning A/C units or problems with sinks. Housekeeping is minimal; they only replace towels and tidy up some items in the room. Bedsheets are not changed unless you specifically request it. The food is decent but offers very limited dining options, which can get repetitive over the course of a week. The beach area is in poor condition and appears to be neglected. It’s dirty, covered with algae and trash, and has a rocky shoreline, making it uncomfortable and even hazardous. My brother actually cut his toe on the rocks on the first day. It’s clear why there are no neighboring resorts nearby—the rocky beachfront is a major drawback. When I arrived, I was informed that the resort is divided into family, privilege, and adult sections, but the property is so small that this division seems unnecessary and poorly executed. Overall, I would not recommend this resort, especially for those looking for a relaxing beach experience.

We had a wonderful experience at Ocean El Faro and stayed there twice. The hotel is very clean and aesthetically beautiful. There is a gorgeous lagoon not far from the hotel beach (couple of mins walking distance). Highly recommend this hotel!

Our room was dirty to the point that I question whether it was even cleaned before being assigned to us. Daily bar stocking and room cleaning was also hit/miss, as we didn't get it on 1 day despite making multiple requests for it. Staff friendliness was variable. The ones who were friendly were great, but I would say the ones who weren't outweigh the good ones. We got in to the resort late on our first night, with the buffet only open for about 30 mins by the time we got there. Staff hovered over us as we were trying to eat and feed 2 tired, young children and more than once reminded us about the closing time. It would have been obvious that we just arrived given we had some of our luggage with us. The whatsapp concierge experience was also hit/miss. He was able to get us bookings at our choice of time/date to all the a la carte restaurants we wanted, which was great. But, he would also at times be tardy with responses, and didn't get back to us at all when we asked about potentially changing rooms or upgrading. I would be hard pressed to return.

Overall the property was great the staff was fantastic we were probably go back again the only thing was we paid extra for a room with a hot tub on the roof which never properly worked either it leaked or it took 4 hours to fill so we never used it once the restaurants were great
