Property had no parking, no heat or ac, floors dirty and rooms smeel old , dusty and no view. No guest after 7 pm and they locked the doors. Hinestly would have left if i hadnt already paid online.

the hotel was ok but the bed was too hard, the bathroom needed to be cleaner, and there was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. the tv only had a couple of channels so not much choice of what to watch.

The rooms are a bit small, but if you’re in San Fran….why you staying in the room too long. Shower and sleep is all I needed it for bathroom was awesome and it’s right on Chinatown. I will stay again. Thank you.

No Air Conditioning in the hotel. I had no idea I needed to make sure a hotel had A/C before booking it. All they had was a window, with no screen on it, that partially opened to let in air, so of course all of the bugs could get in, including mosquitoes, and of course, all of the noise from the street right outside. There wasn't even a fan so the room was hot!!! Additionally, I could hear lots of noise from the hallway, and the rooms besides me, above and below my room, and the light poured in from the window and the large cracks under and around the door. I couldn't sleep because of all of the noise and being hot. (Yes, it's San Fran, but it was warmer than usual). Additionally, the entire hotel reeked of some strange smell. I'm not sure what it was, but it was like a combination of pot smoke and mold. It smelled terrible. For $137/night, I expected a place that I could sleep comfortably. I wasn't looking for an extravagant place; just a place I could sleep and get ready to go out. Unfortunately, besides the noise, sweating while sleeping, and a mattress that was so hard I constantly had to toss and turn (I'm a side sleeper), I barely slept. Additionally, the phone in the room didn't work so any issue I had, I needed to go down to the desk to tell them in person. The only nice thing I would say about this place is that the staff were friendly.

Thank you for your comment. San Francisco usually is very cool all year round and most of the older building and hotels do not have A/C. This includes all 2 or 3 stars old building hotels. Unfortunately you arrived at San Francisco with a few days of heat wave. We do have fans that we can send to your room if you would have requested. Sorry about your experience. We hope to see you again when there is not a hear wave here, and I will upgrade to our deluxe room on top floor which were built more recently.

Great basic hotel in Chinatown, just up the hill from the Dragon Gate (so it's close to the BART and a cable car line, and plenty of stores and restaurants). Friendly, helpful staff and nice clean rooms with comfy beds and nicely updated bathrooms. It's an old building, so floors are a little creaky and you can hear other people talking sometimes, but it was perfect for our quick getaway trip. (Make sure to stop by Sam Wo's - delicious food, fun atmosphere, and open til 3am!)
