To begin, access to the lobby is dangerous. The entrance door is controlled by the front desk staff only, if they happen to not be around or busy you could become stuck inside or outside. The room it's self was ok, the bathroom cleanliness lacked attention to detail, all the corners were dirty. The floor in the rest of the room felt soft and weak and had many areas that squeeked when stepped on. The large, heavy sliding door for the bathroom was missing some important hardware and was damaging the wall it was attached to. The front desk staff were friendly when they could be found, but we're completely unknowledgeable about the general area around the hotel. Overall I would not give the hotel more then 2 stars.

Property looked nice but needed to change rooms due to loud walkway outside room 426. Could hear every footstep anytime a person walked by. Cleaning person came around 9am..... hotel had a weird smell, unable to get a table at restaurant, bar area was never open.

I thought the property was unique and fun and the location was fantastic for our outings in downtown. Was not great for Christmas with lobby bar closed and coffee bar not available. Otherwise, we had a great time and would recommend to others to stay there!

I wanna go back to SF and this property; now!! I've now been to SF 3 times in the last 3 years and this is the first time I'd wanna stay at the same place again! The staff is above and beyond the kindest group I've ever been around. The bed didn't give me back pain. I was close to everything and far enough away to be quiet. It was perfection.

Wonderful Hotel near Union Square with nicely decorated rooms, comfortable beds and quiet.. The Rambler restaurant was delicious,,loved the Bloody Mary's and Stairway to Heaven cocktails. I found my go to hotel for my next visit to SF...
