Great service!

Fantastic service!  Our flight landed early, the hotel was very accommodating and checked us in early.  Great assistance getting cabs.  Very friendly staff!  Never felt so taken care of by hotel staff before.

Wonderful hotel, wonderful location

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet
This hotel is stylish and sophisticated. The staff was friendly and super helpful. It is right across the street from the major theaters with many excellent restaurants in walking distance. It is also very close to Union Square. We loved staying there, and I would gladly go back!

Pay a few extra bucks and stay at proper hotel

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet, Noisy, borderline rude staff
Basically another old hotel that was given a quick makeover to elevate to "boutique" status. The rooms are not great and the staff across the board seem poorly trained. For the cost - I would highly recommend spending the extra money to stay with a tried brand like the Four Seasons.

Great boutique hotel

Pros: Quiet, close to cable car line
Cons: No free Internet
I liked everything about this hotel except the wait staff at breakfast. Both mornings they were inattentive, slow and borderline rude. The first morning especially we were the only table there and they acted like they were very busy. Very odd as the rest of the hotel staff (at the front desk) was very nice and helpful.

Went out for Hardly Strictly Bluegreass Festival and found a really great hotel in the Adagio....

Good personality, but poor responsivness.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, style
Cons: Noisy, undergoing renovations
This hotel has charm. But, while it is improving in its style and comfort, it is currently undergoing renovation. The rooms are not yet as pictured, and the windows leak cold outside air. The heater works well, but it dries the air. I felt put-out when my request for a humidifier was met with a mocking denial. Still, the hotel did respond quickly when it could. When asked for a crib and additional towels, the staff acted quickly. Too close to ground level, however, the music beats from the first-floor club were felt through the floor; and, worse yet were the drunken shouts of patrons at 2:30am. This hotel has great potential, close to all the sites, and truly San Francisco in feel, but until it decides to be higher-class, it would be better to find other accommodations.
