This place states online that it’s updated and the cleanest in Venice. When we walked into the room, we were overwhelmed with how poor the condition was. No electricals worked. My husband got the manager and he pulled the table away from the wall and flipped the switch on the power strip. I asked to be moved to another room, there was another building that looked newer. First, the manager said there was no availability, then he said he would check. He came back with a key to one of these rooms.
It wasn’t much better. It seemed to have new roll vinyl on the floor and the bathroom had been updated with a new shower, sink, toilet and faucets. The room was still truly dreadful. The bed was awful and the pillows were hard as rocks. The bedding was all polyester, the room smelled of mildew. There was only one floor lamp. The furniture looked like it came from Goodwill.
The photos on the hotel’s website tell an entirely different story and in my opinion they are guilty of bait and switch.
I would rather sleep in my car than in one of these rooms.
