I have to say that I enjoyed my stay at this place in spite of several issues. First of all, the toilet did not work when I got there. A repair man came up and fixed it and it worked the rest of the stay. But it did act strangely. Next the sink did not drain very well and then the TV remote worked only partially. Also, I would say that the bed was a little on the hard side. But in spite of all this I did like the stay over all. The room was clean and spacious with a balcony. The HVAC worked very well. It was fairly quiet. The breakfast was maybe better than average for this type of establishment. It was right by the beach, so you could easily walk out there. It was fairly close to several restaurants that were pretty good. The Wi-Fi was decent. The staff seemed nice. And the price was not bad. So, in spite of all the shortcomings, I would actually stay at this place again. But it is certainly no luxury place. Expected basic services with basic decor.

Great stay, the greeting by the front dest was pleasant. He has a great sense of humor! Wonderful staff, all were friendly. The ocean view from our room was amazing. The room was big very clean and everything worked.Surprisingly good breakfast. We highly recommend staying here.

The Manager at this property was excellent. It turned out that after our first night there, I found out I had Covid. The manager was so empathetic and helpful and gave us a full refund for, not only the second night reservation, but the reservation we had made through the front desk for the St Augustine tram. We were very happy and went back for our second night so we could visit St Augustine at the end of January.

The hotel itself is what you would expect. Elevator was a little slow and one was out of order so everyone had to use one. Clean, okay view. My only complaint (though a big one) was that they over booked and I was informed the day of that I did not have a room. At first they claimed that there was a maintenance issue and then later admitted that the hotel was overbooked. They "did their best" to accommodate. I ended up stay in a cheaper room with rollaway beds and was told there was a possibility of a partial refund but there was noone there to approve that. Even though the hotel was adequate, I did not appreciate having to play phone tag and nobody being able to give a confirmation on a solution until i arrived and it was too late to find somewhere else to stay. I won't be staying again but if you are willing to risk it or are more flexible about what room you stay in vs what you paid for, its not a bad option.

This is my go to on St. Augustine Beach!! It’s walkable to everything!! It’s clean, the breakfast is good, and the staff are wonderful. Vanessa, at the front desk is always a welcome sight during my visits. She’s always so happy and ready to help. I cannot say enough good things about her and this Hampton Inn. I always look forward to my stays here on the beach.
