It had a look and feel of luxury and awesome service. I was so excited to be able to see the Washington Monument from our 8th floor room. The only superficial thing was no microwave.

The water in the bathroom sink was not draining property. The guy at the front desk knew that. However, the manager had him put us in the room. I left a note for the cleaning lady. I got no response on my request for the repair. I had to wait for the water to go out before I could wash my face. The gentleman at the door did not speak to us. I will not recommend this property to my friends.

My husband and I got a King Superior Room. We knew there were additional Hotel Services we would be paying for $23.99 per night. These service were supposed to give us a Newspaper daily and bottled water daily. We never received either in our room! I called the desk several times to complain but someone who didn't speak good english didn't seem to understand me. The room size was very small. No comfortable chair was in the room. Only a desk with a small chair. The air conditioner vent blew in our face all night long and was uncomfortable along with the bean bag size pillows on the bed. Torn curtains hung in the windows. There was a chipped worn area visible in the porcelain tub. The TV did not come in well they have Direct TV and only 3-4 channels come in. They advertise how it is walking distance from the Mall, but it really isn't. It is a 48 minute walk. It is 40 minutes to the White House also when walking due to traffic. Don't stay at Fairfax!!!!! Go to the Hilton for a good nights sleep!
