Was just somewhere to shower and lay your head. We had to switch rooms. The first one was filthy. Hair in the tub. Cigarette burn holes in the bed spreads. Dirt on the sheets. The second room wasn't too much better. Hair in the tub. Cigarette burns in the bed spreads. Trash on the floor. The fridgerator door did not close properly. The phone did not work. Poor lighting. I did go to the dollar store and bought a bottle of bathroom cleaner. If it wasn't for the naval graduation, I wouldn't have stayed. Don't waste your money.

Room was stuffy, mold around the shower, the tub drained very slowly, floors were dirty, cable TV but only had 7 channels.

Handicapped Room

Pros: The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beds and chairs were comfortable.
Cons: If you say it is a HANDICAPPED room, please make it so for the safety of your guests.
Location: I got my directions, drove down and it was very easy to find. There is an EXCELLENT restaurant across the parking lot from the Motel.
I asked for a Handicapped Room and was told that it was a Handicapped Room. It was NOT a handicapped room. The toilet was a normal height. If I had not brought my own elevated seat, I would have been in trouble. There was a bathtub, but no bars to hold onto in order to get in or out of the tub.

Half a Star Hotel at Best

Location: Great Lakes.
I bought this through Travelocity Hidden Deals. It was listed as 2 stars. This is usually like a Super 8 or Red Roof Inn. Red Carpet Inn is a half a star hotel. The beds are soft. The pillows are small. The smell is terrible. It is made even worse by the recent repaving of the parking lot. The rooms have cigarette burns on the comforters. The rooms are NOT clean. I asked for a different room and the desk man showed me one. However, that one was just as bad. He suggested I call Travelocity and have them reverse the charges. I did that, but I was still charged. Shame on Travelocity for allowing this hotel to appear in their list. Maybe after renovations this place will be better, but for right now, Red Carpet Inn is a dive.
