The dishes were dirty. Biggest displeasure was they charged me a pet fee of $100 which is ridiculous. I was told the fee was for additional cleaning and fumigating, so I made it a point to ask the maid about the additional cleaning and she said they only do that if it was soiled. I have stayed at many hotels with my little dog and the most I had to pay was $30. They make you sign a paper where they have hidden the fee, they don't mention anything during check-in. You find out the charges when you check out! Don't expect that from a Marriott property!

The tired rooms and mediocre breakfast, compared to other hotel breakfasts, was surpassed by the helpful staff and perfect location. We easily walked everywhere.

Over-rated

PROS: Close to most all tourist attractions. Grocery store about 3 blocks away. Subway nearby. Great breakfast variety (meat choices change daily). Friendly staff. CONS: Room looks WAY bigger in the pics. Pool pics are also deceiving. It is only slightly bigger than a bathtub and smelled HORRIBLE (chlorine). Our room wasn’t serviced for 2 days straight. Had to request towels and toilet paper. Found a previous guest’s undergarment behind the sofa bed. Ripped bed skirt. Cracked shower floor. Shower door didn’t close and, therefore, water leaked onto the bathroom floor. We were supposed to have a “full” kitchen, but only had a 2 burner stove top (no oven). Broken leg on kitchen chair and loose leg on the table. Sofa bed was NOT comfortable (but I’ve never slept on one that is). Overall, I’d say it’s pretty over-rated. I’ve definitely stayed in better hotels!!! ***P.S. (not hotel related but useful info) Lyft was cheaper (sometimes by as much as $10 per ride) than Uber. Check prices of both before requesting a ride.

Great hotel for a weekend getaway. Was close to Michigan Ave but off enough that it wasn’t loud.

Top notch service

Pros: Everything!!!!!!!!!!
I loved everything from when they greeted me at the check in counter to the cleanliness of the room. The hospitality at this hotel is a gold star. I'm not sure who the young lady was in at the breakfast counter, but she helped my husband get me some breakfast together to bring it to my room for me to wake up to a breakfast in bed (love her).

Would stay again

Comfortable bed and pillows. Very little noise Never heard conversations / voices but I could occasionally hear water being started from a shower. Room service food was fresh and tasty. Took 45 mins for a sushi roll and chicken nachos so plan accordingly with time. Overall it was clean and comfortable and made me feel okay for paying that kind of money for staying there.
