The man at check-in was rude. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke and was very musty. The pillows were very lousy. the morning and cleaning staff were so friendly it was like a difference of night ad day... literally

Hotel is AVERAGE

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: Poor breakfast, no fridge, no safe
We decided to stay here for its close proximity to Knoebels Amusement Park. Wasn't all that happy when we first checked in and this was why... At the desk we were met with a friendly female (sorry I don't remember her name) check in was 1,2,3 and when reservations were made weeks prior we were told we would get discount coupons for Knoebels. Was told "sorry we don't have any more" and was directed to a small computer area to get them online from Knoebels website. Well Knoebels website did not have them on there so we were out of luck. We get to our room to drop off luggage etc and was surprised to see there was not a safe in the room. Its 2012 people where safety and security is of upmost importance and there was no safe in the room for me to lock up my ids and credit cards and money. There was not a refrigerator either. While making my reservations I specifically mentioned "there will be a refrigerator in the room?" and was told yes. When we inquired where the fridge was we were told "sorry we don't have anymore". Huh? Why does your website boast an in room fridge? So we had to use my cooler bag that I happened to be using for our 4 hour ride there and filled it with ice. So now I had a cooler in the room taking up the space where the fridge could have been. The room was clean the bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious which made up for my distaste. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The breakfast is average at best. Awful eggs (they looked and tasted like powdered eggs), wasnt impressed with the tasteless waffles either and only one waffle iron (obviously produced a waiting line), the oatmeal ran out early and I could whistle dixie for orange juice. Overflowing garbage cans were not appealing either first thing in the morning. I did like the coffee bar by the front desk which was at our disposal, it was a nice touch. First time at a Hampton Inn, may be my last............

The hotel was wonderful!

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet, very clean
My family and I were so pleased with the Hampton Inn in Bloomsburg. The lobby was clean and inviting and the rooms were excellent. The staff was very friendly as well. We had a wonderful stay.

Great place to stay

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet, great staff
Spent the night there (no prior reservation) on the drive back from Michigan to NY and were totally satisfied. The staff was very polite, professional, friendly and helpful; they offered AAA/AARP discounts before we asked and suggested dining options. The reception called the room after 30mins or so to make sure all was to our satisfaction. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a small fridge; the linen on the bed was fresh and clean. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The WIFI worked flawlessly. The free breakfast was great with lots of choices of both hot and cold items (waffles, oatmeal, omelets, fruit salad, pastries, etc.). Definitely would stay there again and recommend it.

A nice surprise

I booked this hotel because it was close to Knoebel's Amusement Park. We were allowed to check in early, before heading to the park, and got a perk of a discount coupon for the park. The room was very spacious and clean. It was well-appointed with a small fridge, sink and coffee pot in the room, along with two double beds and a pull-out couch. The staff was very friendly. Even the cleaning staff greeted us as we walked down the hall to our room. We had lots of towels and little items like mouthwash, moisturizer and shower caps, in addition to the usual soap and shampoo. After a long day at the amusement park we were able to take a relaxing soak in the poolside jacuzzi while the kids swam in the pool. Both were clean, and towels were at poolside. The hotel was very quiet. Breakfast the next morning was adequate with a nice variety, although heavy on the carbohydrates. There was coffee service 24 hours (the kids liked the hot chocolate in the evening after the pool). My only disappointment was that when I booked online, the room specified two queen beds, but we had two double beds. We are already planning our next visit to this hotel (and the amusement park) with an extended family of 14.

Good hotel, good location

We just came back from 2 nights at this hotel. This is our second stay as we stay here when we go to Knoebels over Memorial Day weekend. This hotel is very nice, indoor pool is great for the kids and the breakfast in the morning is more than just danish and coffee. Front desk staff was very friendly and accomodating, lots of restaurant choices close by.

Wonderful Hotel

What a wonderful place to stay! Extraordinarily friendly service, beautiful, clean room and an extra comfy bed -- they even had homemade chocolate chip cookies when I arrived! Was just passing through on I-80, but now looking for an excuse just to stay again!
