Our room was right above the bar and was incredibly noisy until after 1am. Toilet tank had a leak so water would run every few minutes. The weirdest part was every time the air conditioner would kick on in the room, the closet light (with gaps in the doors of course, so it would light up half the room) would turn on by itself. It was definitely creepy. Made me feel like the room was going to burst into flames from an electrical fire or something! Haha! So needless to say, not much sleep happened. Told the lady at the desk about it in the AM. She just laughed and said “oh that’s really crazy…” and that was that. Oh. And beware. If you’re driving into town they will charge you $50/night for parking. Pretty unbelievable.

Terrible noise from AC every time engaged, kept waking us up. Ceiling fan wobbly and also noisy. Something wrong with humidity control in room as it was ridiculously dry. Dried blood on the comforter. Expected more from the Westin.

Excellent Hotel in downtown Houston

Pros: Its high scale feeling
Location: At the corner of Minute Maid baseball field.
Perfect location for downtown businesses. Excellent amenities. Room was nice and comfortable.
