Room Very Hot And Stuffy

Pros: The staff and hotel grounds were very nice. The studio amenities were great as well.
Cons: Without A/C the rooms are impossible to be comfortable in during summer months.
Location: There are lots of shopping outlets and restaurants nearby as well as casinos. Everything was in walking distance.
The hotel itself is very nice and so is the staff. The studio is cozy but for no more than two people. The problem is that there is no air conditioning and even with three fans running non-stop as soon as you shut the front door it is unbearable. It was very hard to sleep and by the time morning came we were completely congested and miserable. This was also the topic of conversation at breakfast so we weren't the only ones to have this experience.

Great choice!

The place is smack in the middle of S. Lake Tahoe, right across from the heavenly gondolas. This made it easy to walk to various eateries and even the beach. We could see fireworks from the beach at night. The staff were so friendly and upon arrival informed us of all the amenities included in our stay, i.e. free bikes (people were renting bikes everywhere), free beach towels, chairs and umbrellas, free breakfast (basic), gym, movies and popcorn. We felt that they went above and beyond to keep their customers happy. The rooms were updated and clean. Countertop kitchenette and bathroom. Good shower. Stove top, microwave, fridge, dishes; it was like a small home away from home. We did not lack for anything! It is also very nice and quiet. The rooms were kinda small though which meant having to squeeze things around. We had to use the bathroom in turns because it is small even for one person. It worked for us though. We would stay here again!

Highly overrated

The whole lodge is antique and outdated, not sure where all these top ratings are coming from, we fell for these ratings and paid a lot for this old hotel. Not worth the money

Comfortable, clean room with kitchenette, close to Heavenly Gondola.

Pros: Quiet
Cons: Poor breakfast
The room, while small, felt reasonable and well thought-out for two people, esp. with the bed folded in - everything is arranged thoughtfully. The only thing was there was no place to hang jackets/ski pants. But we managed. The standard "value for money" and "closest to the Heavenly Gondola" apply. Staff were welcoming. Pool and hot tub came handy.
