Over priced. Fireplace doesn't adjust. All the dishes were in the dishwasher. Loud dog barking early in the morning

Nice and renovated 2 years ago.

Pros: Hotel was very quiet and the staff went out of their way to help.
Cons: Breakfast buffet was a little interesting when compared to other suite type hotels. Don't look for a huge variety of food. What's there is decent.
Location: There is plenty to do here. Ski Roundtop, Hershey park, and several other place are within close driving distance.
Overall, this is a nice place. Very kid friendly.

VERY comfortable and pleasant stay at a great pricep

Needed a 2-bedroom suite close to Ski Roundtop on short notice. HS was 15 minutes away from Roundtop and easy to get to from Washington DC area. Hotel is in excellent condition, clean, well laid out and has a welcoming lobby with fireplace in cold wx. Staff was courteous and efficient and eager to please-- they even went through ingredients on cookie packages in kitchen because they put out fresh-baked cookies at 8:30 pm and we have egg-allergic child. Suite was well appointed and thoughtfully designed--bedrooms separated from each other by common area/kitchenette and each had own bath, ceiling fan and Neutragena toiletries. Beds and towels soft and comfortable. Hotel is not on restaurant "strip" but Isaac's Deli was across the street (little/no traffic) and a 3-minute walk from hotel. We will be staying at Homewood Suites in future travels, perfect fit for our group of 3 adults and 2 kids.

Pool was dissapointing

We stayed here while on a winter road trip with our family. The hot tub was very nice, however the indoor pool was freezing. We were so curious as tp the temperature that we actually took a thermometer off of our jacket and stuck it in the pool. It registered 62 degrees! A polar bear would have been comfortable here, but not us.

Our new favorite

The suite was lovely, with its own kitchen, spacious living room, and private whirlpool tub. The receptionists were very helpful, and it is always nice to have a hot breakfast included. The dining patio and pool are pleasant and restful (weather permitting). Thanks to our stay here we have reservations for one of the Homewoods in Chicago this week and hope it will be on par with this one.

Disappointing and Overprice

My family and I stayed here while I attended a nearby conference. Upon check-in, we were advised that they had moved us to a smoking room because someone extended their stay and they ""hoped that would be alright."" It was not, but the staff told me they had no other option, aside from spraying Lysol in the room. No thanks. Then, when we opened up the sofa bed for my 2 and 4 year old to sleep, we found a beer bottle cap in the bed. The floor was disgusting -- did not appear to have been vacuumed in ages, as my white socks were black and had tiny bits of some red candy stuck to them. Additionally, it appeared that the unused towels were never swapped out before our arrival, as they reeked of smoke. Then, when my conference ran late and I inquired about extending the stay one night, I was told they were overbooked and there was nothing they could do. When I explained that I'd been stuck in a smoking room for 3 days because someone overstayed their visit, the front desk representative didn't care at all. On the positive side, the breakfast is quite nice and the hospitality hour (free beer, wine and food) was very nice, but quite frankly, given the price and the overall indifference of the staff at this hotel, I would find alternative accommodations and not be lured by TripAdvisor's rating that this is the #1 hotel in the Harrisburg area. In my opinion, it most certainly is not.
