peeling paint in bathroom from urine on wall, worn out fixtures, black fungus in shower, HORRIBLE wifi, spotty cable tv, SO MUCH noise from street

I stayed at The Marshall House over memorial day weekend for my first trip to Savannah. The staff are really nice. I arrived early so my room wasn't ready. They stored my luggage and gave me a call when it was ready. The hotel is in an excellent location - easy to walk to all the attractions. There's a CVS a block away in case you need to stock up on any essentials. They provide free bottles of water in the lobby along with coffee and tea. Room was good - no complaints.

The location is the best in Savannah. We didn't need a car. Can walk to everything! There was a decent breakfast everyday. The staff is excellent. Nightly wine with some form of entertainment was very fun. I would absolutely stay here again. The only downsides were in our king (Juliette Gordon Low) suite the air conditioning was iffy. Very loud and and not super efficient. Also the view was of a parking garage.

Memorable stay - historic setting with helpful, personable, attentive staff - easy to walk throughout town from this location. Historical photos throughout property. Interesting daily program / entertainment, happy hour. Valet pkg @$38/day of self pkg in in lot close by @$21/day. Breakfast did require a wait one crowded morning - table seating with server and limited seating caused a line to back up at late / popular breakfast hour one morning. Staff arranged tram tour with pickup at the curb. Definitely would stay here again.

It was a very historic hotel with lots of charm. The staff were very nice and considerate and willi g to help with any needs. Our toilet was very small, elementary sized but usable.
